I'm glad you are going to give it another chance Artie. Sometimes these pups make us want to pull out our hair, but they are worth it.

Sadie and BB use the doggie dog. The problem was that Sadie wanted to go out at 2am and then she would bark after doing her business. Artie was closing the doggie dog so as not to disturb the neighborhood in the middle of the night...When he did that Sadie would just pp on the floor. The other problem was that Sadie was hogging Artie's attention and wouldn't let BB have any quality time with him and BB didn't like it.
They are going to be fine and Sadie is much happier at Artie's home. Interestingly, Macy, my older dog who never really cared for Sadie is at home while I am out of state. My neighbor said everytime she goes over to feed her and hang out with her Macy is crying. One of my best friends spent the night at my house last night and she ended up taking Macy back home with her because she said Macy was lonely. My best guess is that Macy was wondering well Sadie left and now my Mom left. I think she will adjust to this soon though.

I'm glad Sadie is getting another chance.  Like I said in another post my 3 would all fight over my lap, attention, etc. if I allowed it.  So we, as the 'pack leaders' must police the doggies.

Hey, when Sadie pees on the floor at night is it in the same place each time?  I ask because one solution may be to put a piddle pad down there.  Crate training would be a good solution but some people just don't like doing that so maybe between all of us we can come up with a decent alternative solution.

Artie I just emailed Vickie and told her I was interested in Sadie, so if you could just be patient until she gets back from her trip maybe we can work something out.

Oh, Patricia, I really hope you can help. This poor little girl needs to get settled into a forever home. I feel so bad for her. She seems like a dream...crate trained, and everything....just sounds like she is demanding of attention...seems very "rattie" to me.

OK. here is the deal. I do believe Artie has tried with Sadie. I do not know what to tell him anymore. On a weekly bases he writes to tell me how wonderful Sadie is then two days later he turns around and tells me that he can't deal with her behavior. This morning he wrote that she is eating his other dog's feces and she cries at him alot. He apprears to be unable to be the boss and yet he does not like the results of not doing so.
He just asked me last week to provide him with a bill of sale or something saying that I had given Sadie to him so he could prove he was the owner.
Full disclosure:::: when I had Sadie she was sweet, bright and very smart, well tempered, very attentive, somewhat needy of my attention. crate trained but was not left unsuperivsed to have free run of the house as she still wanted to chew but would not do that when she was with her owner. She did not cry, she did not bark much, she had outgrown the habit of trying to eat feces which is a common thing that puppies do from what i have been told.........MY only problem with Sadie was that my older dog wanted to be the only dog in the house and that I WAS too busy to give her the attention she desired and needed to be a perfect dog!
I am out of the country until Jan. 24th.
IF anyone can provide Sadie with a good home please contact Artie as he is her owner. I do not mean to sound mean or uncaring. I am just frustrated and to tell you the truth Sadie was easier to deal with than Artie.......Sorry Artie I do not mean to hurt your feelings..I know you are a good man and you have tried your best...........

I'm sorry to hear that Sadie is just not going to work out with Artie. I hope that Patricia can make arrangements directly with him and provide Sadie with a forever home. I think (and like, Vicki, I don't mean to sound uncaring) but it really does seem that this is not Sadie's fault so much, but rather needing an owner who really understands her and that crating and an Alpha is likely what she needs.

I hope someone here can give Sadie the home she deserves. As is true in most cases such as this... it's the owner's fault... not the fault of the dog. Dogs/puppies don't come to us in "perfect mode"... kids don't come that way either. Good grief..the dog is crate-trained and he wont' crate her. That... in and of itself... says TONS to me about this situation.
There are truly dogs that need to be the "only dog" and she simply may be one of them. If so... Artie is wise to find another home for her.
However, I don't think that's the case here. I think ARTIE is the one who just needs one dog... if any at all. Sorry... just how I feel about it, and I'm not one to sugar coat things.
