Thanks for double checking Tracey but I think she is marked that cause she is sponsored now.

My first take after looking at the page is that she was fostered, and has also been adopted...but I will wait to hear back from Tammy for confirmation

A lady in Los Angeles has emailed me to ask for help for this rat terrier. Poor baby has a laceration and not using his hind leg. I replied to get the name and phone number of the shelter.

Is anyone in LA who can help?

I saw this one last night. I'm at the other end of California and I am $$ poor... A home rich in love and caring though, with lifetime vet care (I'm raising the son of our local vet and in return, she's willing to do any and all vet care for all of my animals for the rest of their lives... odd situation, I know, but it's working okay!) So anyway, the laceration would be no big deal, he'd be under a vet's care and besides, I have bad hips and limp too, we'd make a good pair! But.. I couldn't afford adoption fees, neutering fees, transportation fees and so on, not if I want to put that into food for the darling after he got here. I hate having to try and explain away money problems, hope some of you can relate though!

Angie, I can very much relate to money problems. When we got Bob, it cost us $150. It was right before Christmas and our kids agreed that he was all they wanted for Christmas. So Bob was our family present for Christmas 2005.

Hey Angie... It wouldn't hurt to find out how much the adoption fee and neutering would cost though... right? I can email Dawn and see if she knows?! If its not much I bet we could get a collection going, then all that would need to be done is figuring out the transport! Hey, LA is only a measly 2 hours north from me I wonder how many members we have in between us anyway?

I am so grateful to have stumbled in here. I'm closer to many here, far closer than I am with ALOT of family that are physically closer.. you know what I mean? Of course you do! hehe please check for me Kim (moving my post to just chat)

Great update: Tammy from the shelter sent me an email that Annie has been adopted to a forever home

On 12/30, Annie went to Crystal, who is a new NY fostermom for Rat Terrier ResQ.  Crystal does NOT intend on fostering Annie -- she wants to keep her!    After Annie settles in, Crystal will get started on fostering -- this was just too precious a story not to update you all on!  Her are pics of Crystal and Annie.  Gina from ResQ in NY did so much legwork to make this match happen -- SO glad there are Crystals in this world!

These are tears of happiness and emotion. This little girl just touched my heart and her story was so sad...

Bless you and everyone involved in getting her out of there and into a real home where she'll be loved for what I hope is the rest of her long, long life.

I can't see the pictures though And I, and everyone here would really love to.
