Does anyone know the status on Radar? |

Hugs and kisses for Radar, if I lived closer I would have taken him and found a way to still have him here.
Wasn't he in Texas also? I hope they can do better for her than him. |

| Borger is pretty far away from D/FW, Austin, Waco, and Houston. It's in the panhandle, northeast of Amarillo. Actually, anyone in western Oklahoma, southeastern Colorado, or southwestern Kansas would be closer to Borger. |

He was in Texas. Texas is on of the states with a HUGE population of rat terriers in shelters. I'm looking at all rat terriers around Dallas now and the list is amazing long |

It's very sad - trust me, it's never easy knowing a dog was euthanized because we weren't able to find a place for them to go. Texas is a HUGE state and Ratbone only has 1 or 2 fosterhomes there, and everybody is up to their eyeballs in fosterdogs
I'm sorry Ratbone wasn't able to help.... this is the worst part of rescue... and is the exact reason why we NEED MORE FOSTERHOMES!!!

Oh, I think about Pepper and how close of a call that was... sigh... there's no way to save them all. Thank you, Ratbones, for ALL you do! |

| That is the sad part, there is no way to save them all. I wish I could rescure but my house hold does not allow for it at this time. Maybe by the time Molly and Kasey have a year under their belt it might be possible. But this is Kasey's "molding" time to not be afraid of dogs. So far it is a success!! |

| I become very emotional when I dwell on it... so I try not to dwell on it. After the events of this past weekend and the reality that had I not gone and gotten Pepper from the County Animal Control... he would be dead right now instead of enjoying a wonderful life with Shannon and her family. I would save them all if I could... and this past weekend really brought the reality of it all down on me. :=( |

Nora,
That is so awesome and you made me cry. I look at Alice sometimes and think that 8 hour car ride saved her life, literally. It's such an overwhelming feeling especially when I look at her all curled up in her bed just peaceful and happy. I cry for whatever she went through before we got her and for those out there still enduring. I wish I could drive and save them all but I know I can't. My boyfriend and I are talking about moving and when we do I already told him I want a barn with kennels to be able to foster. It literally breaks my heart daily to think of all the little ones out there in need of homes and that I am at full capacity. I love that I have rescue dogs and they are WONDERFUL. I think they know too but maybe I am crazy. When we first seen Fred at the rescue it was a Monday and we couldn't get him until that Friday, the rescue lady said that Friday he was acting all weird like and when we pulled in he jumped right in the car like he knew he was going home. I guess they are better off being put down than living a life in a cage but it doesn't make it any easier.
