I sent Artie more pictures after we talked and then he called me again just to check about Sadie's vaccines, heartworm pills etc.......
I hope he does not mind my sharing this but he told me before his wife died she told him to get a dog for company thus he got his rattie girl BB. You can tell he loves BB to death....He doesn't even mind that she scratched his leather sofa up when she was younger !! His BB and Sadie are about a month apart in age so hopefully they will play well together........He knows about Rat Terrier's energy and does not seem fazed by it at all. He is so excited and at one point during our conversation I was looking at Sadie and said something to the effect of how pretty she was and he got nervous... said he should come get her tonight because he was afraid I would back out on him.......I promised him I won't. He can't get her until Sunday as he has to go out of state to a funeral tomorrow. I am so pleased that he is going to give Sadie a home but know already I will miss her. I just had her in my lap for a while and told her about Artie and BB....Thanks again for all your support...You guys are awesome....Vickie |

Vickie: We see and hear stories all the time about people that realize they made a "mistake" and to "fix" it they just take the dog to any old shelter or worse, just let the dog go free. Even if they do find it another home, they often take the first one that comes along with no thought to whether it'd be a good home for their dog.
What you have done is love your dog enough to know that she would likely thrive more and be happier and healthier with someone with more time. Thank you for not being selfish |

Sadie Has a Home!!! Just wanted to update you guys. Artie and Sadie were meant to be. As sad and hard as it is to let her go I know he will do right by her. The first thing he wanted to know after telling me how beautiful she is was if she has a chip in case she ever got lost. Thanks again for all your support..... Artie promises to keep me updated........also, to let me have Sadie back if it does not work out for him and his Rattie BB.

| For those of you who have been following this story. I posted some pictures of Sadie in her new home with her new best friend BB. They are under the photo section. Sadie looks like she has died and gone to heaven. Artie has been updating me all day and sending me pictures. Looks like it is going to work out for us all. Happy Thanksgiving. Vickie |
