Looks like we are going to have our home visit this week, as early as tomorrow evening! Which means, I will try to have her flown home on Friday, so that we can spend the whole weekend with her before we have to go back to work. I am going to be mailing out her blanket that I bought tomorrow. Nathan (hubby), Vino (rattie), Casanova (Kitty), and I have been loving on it all weekend hoping to transfer our scent so that little Mocha can pick up on our scents and not feel as if we are strangers. I am so excited...thanks for all of your thoughts and prayers that this would work out for the best. Hopefully I will be posting pictures of the whole family together soon! |

| Flying Mocha home by the weekend is definitely a possibility, but the remainder of the process will have to move quickly. You'll get an adoption approval letter, followed by a contract to sign (usually a few days later). After you sign the contract and return it with the adoption fee, then Mocha can come home to you. You can speed up that part of the adoption by faxing the contract and sending the money via Paypal. Good luck - I hope Mocha can come home this weekend! |

That's wonderful news!! So I just have to ask.... I fly with my pups all the time and they just go under the seat in front of me in their carrier, but how will Mocha fly? Sorry I'm just nosey and wondered how that worked...  |

| You fly them in cargo, from what I understand. But the folks who handle the live animals are trained to do so. They have specific rules like crate must be big enough for the dog to stand up and turn around, and they have temperature regulations like it can't be over such and such temp or lower than so and so temp...etc... |

| Well, the home visit definitely is going to be tonight. I am hoping to get all of the other necessary paperwork completed asap, pay the fees, and etc. Mocha's foster mom said that she could fly her out on Friday...I just need to figure out how the flight stuff works... |

| If all goes well with paperwork and such, Mocha will be on the 0725 out of O'Hare, Texas bound on Friday! She'll be a Texan before we know it. I think all will work out as planned, the folks at Ratbone know how anxious we are to get her home, so are working with me to expedite the process as much as possible. I mailed her blanket this morning, and it will arrive there Thursday. |

| Just had the home visit...everything went really well, I think! The volunteer was overly impressed my what a good boy my Vino was. He obviously could sense that he needed to be on his best behavior. That little boy's gonna get a treat! :o) |

| I just received the email that we have officially been approved for Mocha. I am waiting on the contract now, which is the last step before we can make flight arrangements. WOO_HOO! Mocha will be home on Friday! |

I had Remington flown from Texas to Florida. He went from Austin to Houston, and had a layover. I called the airline to check on him in Houston, and they said he was fine, they were giving him water, and taking him out to go potty. Then he flew on to Orlando. My daughter picked him up there. He did fine.
