Wasn't sure where to post this but since he's a rescue dog I thought I'd post it here.

Although we've had our problems with him (cat chasing, agression to intact male dogs) he is turning into a happy little guy.  He no longer flinches if we make sudden moves around him (I think he was hit in his previous home).  He has lost almost all the sad look in his eye although it still shows up in photos.  He gets sooo excited at any attention shown him, even "bad" attention like brushing his teeth will send him into turbo mode - when we first got him he tried to keep a low profile.

He "smiles" a lot now and seems to expect being spoiled  - just like the two girls who grew up with it!  He still tries to guard the food but he's not nasty about it and I know it's just because he didn't get enough to eat before he went to the shelter....and apparently not too much at the shelter as he was painfully thin when we got him.

All in all - he's a happy little dude!  Oh, and he's Daddy's best little buddy!

I love your progress report on Skipper!  Isn't it just overwhelmingly cool to see the "turn around" that their lives take on from being a "shelter dog" and being skeptical and untrusting and aggressive to a happy, more mellow and stable attitude?  That's what I love about Bo---he has done a complete change in his looks, behavior and attitude.  Sounds like Skipper is settling down really well and is very VERY happy with his forever family!  Great job, MB---I'm sure that Skipper is so glad that you didnt give up on him when he was going through his big transition!
