We missed this thread since we didn't join until after Thanksgiving.  Well thanks for the gut wrenching laugh guys.  Rattagan incessantly cleans his paws, like he's part cat.  He has about a five minute routine that he does several times in an evening including the last one after getting in bed.

Yes, I checked on of Ratty's feet, he was sleeping and I only got near the right one, it doesn't stink at all.  Janie says she is not smelling the dog's feet, she refuses, forget even thinking about it, "No way...Jose!"  She thinks there is something wrong with all y'all (including me).  If his feet smell like anything it will be whatever he last stepped in, or worse, rolled in, like rotten pigeon eggs, dead lizards, dead frogs, etc

Cameo, on the other hand, smells like a puppy, all over..sweet

Did someone mention something about the "nice young men in their pretty white suits?"

Well now that you mentioned this, I had to go over and smell Phoenix's feet, and get the kids to do it too, you know so we all agree!! he-he They do kind of smell.......kind of like popcorn??? LOL

I always thought my dog's feet smelled like stale popcorn, glad I am not looney for thinking this.

!!!!!! If your pup sleeps with you, like mine does, how can you NOT smell their feet? Savanna's feet end up in my face no matter what or where she starts to sleep.

I really hate to admit this.... but my two have frito feet.

I have also noticed that neither one ever get that doggy smell. I wonder if it's connected and a "rattie thing"?

Bella Rosa has Frito feet and if she hasn't been washed in a long time her whole body can start to smell like Fritos.  The worst is my Chihuahua, she smells like Cool Ranch Doritos head to toe.    The first time I smelled it I had to call my best friend to ask her if her Chi smelled like Fritos, she went and smelled him and said yes...we both started cracking up. 

OMG I THOUGHT IT WAS JUST ME!!  THE FIRST TIME I REALIZED THERE WAS A CORN PRODUCT SMELL TO MY PIX, I THOUGHT MY DAUGHTER HAD STASHED SOME CHIPS IN HER ROOM OR UNDER THE BED OR SOMETHING! NOW I GET IT! PIXIE'S FEET DEFINITELY HAVE A DISTINCT SMELL, VERY MUCH LIKE FRITOS. I WONDER IF IT IS DIET? WHAT TYPE OF FOOD DO YOU GUYS FEED YOUR BABIES? I FEED MY PIX BENEFUL.

My husband Tom was laughing when he read these comments. He always says that Remy is due for a bath because he smells like stale popcorn! He just said it thursday night so it was funny when we saw that you all say the same thing! Our Jack Russell Pete has a bath schedule the same as Remys and he never smells like that so its definetly a Rat thing.
