Um...yep. If it's stuffed toys they're destroying (and most all of our ratties do) you can get them at Wal-mart for 88 cents. |

I agree about the 88 cent toys at walmart. Actually some of them hold up better then the expensive ones. I spend a lot of time sewing up his animals so he can tear them right back up. I have been garage saleing a lot lately and the 25 cent toys make good ones too. Then you can throw them away faster... |

YES!! Toys are hit-or-miss with Bailey. A few he shredded within minutes. Most stuffed toys he'll work a thread until a seam opens and the thread 'n' neddle come out. We've had most luck with a soft, bouncy LED flashing ball I found at work. The second is Bailey's "girl friend" stuffed shark we got from IKEA. Suprised as it's made from a plush material, something he's worked on and pulled off in the past. He hit the IKEA octopus a times or two and since it's made of felt-like material, it's off-limits now. |

miikkaa I love your dog its gorgeous! I have resorted to hitting the local thrift shos and buying stuffed toys there!!!!! they are usually only a few cents (50) and I have found that if I give my dog "several" toys at once (like today I gave him about $6.50 worth of 50 cent toys) he does not chew them up as fast he seems to be preoccupied with throwing them around and playing with something "new".... maybe the fact that he gets so many new all of a sudden is facinating to him!!! but he hasnt destroyed any today! and the light up rubber ball got chewed to shreds here!!! he had to destroy it!!!! it must have drove him crazy!!!!! |

I do the same thing with garage sales & thrift stores for most of the stuffed toys. Doesnt break my heart so much when they destroy a 50-cent toy like it does when they destroy a $6.00 toy!
Of course, when I make a trip to Petsmart, I always seem to come out of there with a new toy, also. |

| I am so glad that Jack doesn't do this! I have had to hide the air-kong though cause he tries to chew off the rope part. |

So true! Lady has to get nylabones for "vigorous chewers." One time she was at my mom's house and got ahold of one of her dogs' "regular-strength" nylabones. Lady chewed it up completely in about ten minutes, then promptly urped it up a few minutes later. Mmmmm . . . delicious. LM |
