Bama recognizes his toy names, and he even differentiates between Big Bobo, Santa Bobo, and Basketball Bobo. Now, sometimes he gets the toy HE wants to play with, not the toy you tell him to get. He's a male, though. lol We don't spell anything around him except GO. We do use T for treat, and most of the time he picks up on that. |

| Zoo Zoo knows walk and even if you spell it. My sister was here last week and I spelled it out for the first time and Zoo Zoo jumped up and ran toward the door. Smart little girl. |

Yep, Mic can spell and knows all the toys by name We are currently looking for a new word for "outside". We can't say it or spell it or even say it in a sentence unrelated to Mic! I've started to just nod my head in the direction of the front door instead of saying "outside" but I think he's catching on to that!! |

"Mama" and "Go" are also big faves, as are "Don" (the groomer) and the names of various friends. It's funny, too, because she recognizes places where her people are likely to appear, such as the buildings where we work and the airport.
Such smart little creatures!

Lucy also knows n-a-p p-i-l-l-s (heidi has to take seizure meds, and Lucy knows that we put the pill in a piece of cheese, she also knows if she is flying around and up and down in the kitchen and on my lower body, she will also get a piece of the c-h-e-e-s-e! She also knows b-e-d and d-o-g and she knows what get in the van means, even when used in the middle of a sentence that has nothing to do with her. She also knows "you're not going" these are the saddest words to her and Dar. I will not begin to guess what DAR knows- Everything I am sure. She knows what we are going to do if we just think it, and she can some how convey that message to Lucy and they will be standing by the door if it was go out and standing by the fridge if we were thinking snack, and standing by the bedroom door if we think nap. Dogs are for sure Aliens that are tons smarter than us. |

Ha! That's funny -- Lady doesn't know "pill", but she sure knows "cheese," as in, "Is it time for your cheese?" She does a happy dance in response. (She gets a pill every morning, too, in a piece of -- you guessed it -- CHEESE! )

Wonderful creatures!! When I was real young, around 5 or 6, my Grandparents had a great mut dog named Spot. Over the years he associated the spellings as we humans tried to "out smart" him after he mastered words. His favorite was W-A-L-K, as Pop and I would take Spot to make the rounds in the woods. |

Lady's new word is "starving" -- as in, "Poor baby, are you starving?" Vigorous tail-wagging ensues. It's a little scary how smart she is . . . |
