I'm trying to crochet an afgan.....

Pepper is trying to undo it.

last night, she very quietly snuck onto my lap, reached into my bag and grabbed one of the squares and ran off with it!

She is so sneaky. She spies a ball of yarn, and does not go ofter it with gusto, but quietly approaches, focused on her prey, then as quick as can be, grabs it gently and is off and running.

She approaches yarn differently than any other toy, stealth rather than glee.

I never knew what I was missing until Pepper was literally dropped in my lap.....Life is good.

I have to say this made me laugh.  I had a half-finished afghan in a basket next to the couch last summer.  Zona never touched it for the longest time.  Then one day while I was making dinner he decided to roll up in it.... which, of course, took out at least 25 rows of stitches in his antics.  I told him he needed to stay away from Mommy's work basket.  He seemed to do really well at first.  Then I noticed the same thing you are talking about.  It was like he was playing a game with me!  First off, he wanted to see if he could get away with a chunk of yummy yarn.  Then he wanted to see, if I didn't catch him, if I could find where he hid it.  At first I was frustrated.  Then it was just comical!
