My Benny Ben Ben absolutely MUST be touching me when he falls asleep at night, and if I roll over and have my back to everybody (I sleep on one side and I try to keep all 6 on the other side), at least 4 of 'em are leaning up against my back by the time I wake up......or have gotten under the covers somehow... now in the winter, under the covers is no big deal...... but in the summer, when it's 90 degrees out, it's a big deal cuz each and every one of my babies is a MINI FURNACE!!!

There's not much room, trust me!  Luckily I have a queen sized bed!

Thanks for the nice comment about my avatar.  Sasha's the one up on her hind legs (she passed in Feb), and she's playing with Snoopy, and Sandy baby, the little b-body tank, is the referee.... they're all mine...   This pix was taken before I started fostering....

Wow. All 6 in bed with you? I'm impressed!  We can let the 3 Lollipop Kids in bed with us....but even if we had a king sized bed it would difficult to add the fosters as they change so quickly.  Right now if Wulfie was in bed with us he'd be awake and playing.....and Sorley would be growling at everyone else and they'd be growling back...not conducive to a good night's sleep.

I don't mind the little furnaces as Bill keeps the AC way down at night.  And Mitzy is the one who HAS to be touching me all night....although Mayfly has started moving up more and more to my left side.  I think it's part of their plan to trap me there.

No need to be impressed - lol  I sleep alone (well I'm the only human) ..... lol if there were 2 humans in bed, I dunno if we'd have enough room!   LOL

I meant that ALL your dogs get along that well, not necessarily that you have that much room!

OMG 6 in the bed, I would never sleep! With Guy's back he sleeps downstairs in the recliner til his surgery, then he will probably be able to lay flat again. Fred has taken to slepping on the couch next to him. Alice has her "armchair" in the bedroom (those who seen the pics know what I mean) and I get the bed to myself!! Oh me and Alice are going to be bumming after his surgery, she will have to share the armchair and I will have to share the bed again.

They all start out in the same place... Snoopy on the pillow next to me.... Ben on my left shoulder..... Sandy on my left hip.... Kaci, Mickey and Princey down towards the bottom... but in the morning, at least 4 of 'em are pushed up against my back and I'm shoved up in the corner of the mattress.........

Sounds like last night...Rosie NEEDED to be on the bed (she's been sleeping on a dog bed on the floor in my room), and beat both ratties to bed. By the time Molly jumped up, there was no room for her! I managed to find a little room by moving Rosie and Lucy over a bit...not an easy task since Rosie is 80 lbs! But Molly still wasn't happy since she usually sleeps curled up behind my knees at night, but if I let her do that, I'd be on the edge of the bed. I woke up in the middle of the night to Molly's chin on my shoulder...she was at the top of the bed, and sharing my pillow. It was a VERY long night. *YAWN*

I think they are trying to tell me that I need a bigger bed...

Too funny!! My Chloe ALWAYS has to be right up next to me - no matter how hot it is! Doesn't matter where, just has to be touching me somewhere. Most nights she has to be under the covers too - no matter how hot it is- lol!. Bonnie on the other hand, likes to be off on one corner of the bed all by herself, but if I pull her over to me to cuddle, she'll stay, but only until she hears a noise outside that she must alarm me of - at whatever hour of the morning it is! These days with 2 in the bed and Bonnie still getting used to the noises here in her new home, I don't get a lot of sleep anymore, so I can't even imgaine what it would be like with 6 little rattie furnaces in the bed with me!! (I'm the only human in my queen bed too)

Usually in the morning when Alice wakes up she drags herself all over the bed, which includes my head. She stretches those little frog leggs at motors all around me til I get up to let her out.
I don't think she realizes I can't breathe when she is laying across my face.

Same here, Val!  The second I stir, whether if it's at 2:00 am to go to the bathroom or 7:00 am to wake up, Mickey and Prince are right there smothering my face with kissies!!    Not that I don't love kissies, but dang, 2 dogs on my chest and in my face first thing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LOL, I try to explain to her that we have 7 more important minutes to sleep but she doesn't get it!! These crazy dogs, they need to get jobs then they will sleep longer!! It's so funny though, I can't help but snatch her up and cuddle with her to wake up......that's usually when Fred comes up to let me know he has to go to. He jumps up on the bed rolls right on his back to get his tummy rubbed for a while. then we all head outside.

LOL...Sally does this squirmy thing on her back with all 4 legs up in the air and she wiggles all over the bed until she ends up with her head on my pillow and then I get a face full of wet tongue!  She sleeps wedged behind my knees or against my back all night...usually under the covers.  During the summer she is a little furnace.  I think I'll enjoy the heat during the cold winter months!

We have a theory that the "touching" is kind of a spring loaded early warning system that the human is about to move, so be READY!  Lacey is very quiet at night, we hardly know she's there unless we wake in the night.  She won't get up until we are up for the morning.   I often have insomnia, so I can get up and leave the room, and DH and rattie sleep undisturbed.

It is kind of funny to come back and find her "spooning" with him!

Daisy's definitely a "toucher." When she was a little smaller, she'd curl up right underneath my chin, touching my neck, to sleep, or she'd put her head or body across my chest or neck. Now she will rest her head on my leg or back, and I've been known to wake up with her curled around my head, resting her head on mine.

The Chihauhua, however, refuses to sleep in the bed anymore because Daisy MIGHT touch him...

Macie likes to sleep between dh and I. But during the night she snuggles behind my legs. Occasionally I'll wake up to find her head next to mine on the pillow.

Pepper does that when daddy comes to visit. She doesn't want me to leave, but wants daddy time, so she lays crossways so she can be toughing both of us at the same time.

Oh yeah. Sam won't let out the contented "sigh" that tells me when she is ready for bed- until she is touching some part of my body, preferably curled up beside my knees.
