Cameo can be dead to the world asleep in the bedroom, but let me try to sneak a slice of cheese out of the fridge in the middle of the night and she's there before the wapper is off the cheese

That is SO funny! Abbey and Wally will come to the sound of pretty much any food related wrapping!!! Just like Cameo - it doesn't matter what time of night it is, either...

Hendryx can hear a cheese wrapper or smell a slice of aged Vermont Cheddar from a mile off. I don't even call his name anymore, I just mutter "Hey CHEESEHEAD" and he's right there.

His name is Hendryx! He's a rat terrier! OK!

Oh yeah, they could be dead asleep and we tip toe to the kitchen real light on the feet, look around th door, they are sound asleep. S L O W L Y open the fridge door and OOP there they are just sitting there like "great! snack! what are we having?!"  DOOOHHH

The great pleasure of a dog is that you may make a fool of yourself with him and not only will he not scold you, but he will make a fool of himself too

The act of opening the fridge door goes unnoticed, even taking the top of the milk jug doesn't get their attention, but if it is cheese or lunch meat, or even the lid on the bread box...DING DINNER BELL!

Opening the 'fridge' doesn't matter. Cheese or lunch meat, they come running, even if out side on the other end of the yard. And the 'ding' of the microwave oven will get my old girl up and moving no matter where she is.

It's not the fridge that lures our dogs out of a dead sleep. For them, it's the sound of the closet door. The closet holds cleaning supplies, washer/dryer, etc...but it also contains leashes and treats. They will run from anywhere in the house just to see if it's time for a walk or treat.

Silly dogs...gotta love em!

Waylon loves string cheese!!!  I swear he can differentiate between the sound of plain old sliced cheese wrappers and string cheese wrappers...  And the worst part is, he sits and waits for me to string it off for him.  He has just as much fun eating it as I do!
