Murphy is such a leggy beast it seems it would be hard for him to curl into a ball, but he does, and he tuck his nose under his paws. Or under my arm, or the covers... or whatever.

They have cold noses! Mine do the same thing...what amazes me is that Mitzy (sleeps between me and Bill) will put her nose in both our armpits for warmth and it doesn't seem to bother her.....LOL

"will put her nose in both our armpits for warmth" No matter how hot you are!! I think their noses are their heat regulators. If the nose is covered, they are content.

yup... bryson is that way... leggy too... curls into a ball and lays btwn our legs and tucks his nose right tight into our crotches!!! kind a"weird" and uncomfortable at 1st!!! lol.... yesterday was the 1st time he sprawled out, belly up and stuck his head under the covers!

Molly hates to be covered up with a blanket, but she has to shove her nose under one before she can sleep...silly girl.

Piper absolutely needs to be able to get uder the blankets at night. Then she begins to pant and lick when she gets too hot. Then: up comes "shamu" just like at Sea World! And thud...right between the pillows until she cools off. Then back under again. Kolohe is more particular...He insists upon sleeping on the floor at the beginning, and then around 2 he will come up and bark that he wants to get under the covers on the wife's side. If she doesn't comply (like sleeping through the noise, he continues to bark louder and louder until the alpha (me) gets fed up and yells at him. Then he lets me know that he wants under. So... not wanting to leave my wife out of it...I wake her up and attend to him.

Do they really love us or are we just walking food dispensers?
