I love my nora more then ever, but I am surpirsed with the way her personality has develped with other dogs!!!!

She seems to get joy out of tricking them!!  I always thought she was the nice one but I have started to notice that she instigates many situations.

At first she would never assume a submissive stance so we worked on getting her on her back and she seemed to respond.

NOW--she will see a certain dog--go submissive and when the other dog trusts her, she will jump on top and totally dominate the other pup.She will never walk away untill the other dog leavedsor I remove her.  She is not viotent, just persistent in the need to dominate.  This is not with all dogs, she usually fixates on one and plays and plays till I take her home---

She does not do this will bigs dogs often cause she knows better.

One thing that she did yesterday was so funny that I am still laughing about it.  She was trying to dominate a pup who was pretty much her equal, but she was relentless.  They took breaks and when ever it looked like she would live and let live she went back at him.

Finally one started to dig a hole and she of course had to be the foreman once she saw what was going on.  The other dog left the hole to start a new one.  She layed over both the holes trying to control the whole housing project which was too much for her.

I though she had given up--she got up--walked away and started skipping--the other dog followed her and started running with a third dog and before you knew it--Nora was back on both holes watching  the other ones running and in possesion of the project.

People in the park were hysterical and the only way she can get away with this is becasue she is cute.

So after this long winded story I ask you---Do these dogs tend to trickery????)) I think Ratties rule

Oh my, that is just too cute.  We had a dog who learned to cheat when playing games so that she could always win.  I think ratties are too smart for their own good.

We'll have to outwit the fiend with our superior intelligence.

Plays submissive and then dominates when she has your trust.  That's not a RT thing... that's just a female thing!

Yea mitch n murphy--that is exactly the way I got my husband come to think of it. 20 year later and he still does not know what hit him--

Although it might be a female sort of thing, Ratties seem seem to excell at it, perhaps my attraction to my baby girl--she is a playa

Ohhhh this is the perfect place for my Belle's newest prank. We were playing throw and fetch the toy just like always. I throw, the girls race for it and the winner is the one that ends up dropping it at my feet. It usually takes some time to get to my feet because they steal it from each other so many times during the race back to mommy! Well the younger pup Libby is not as smart as older sister Belle. Miss Belle decided that she doesn't actually have to go running for the toy, she now waits at my side for LIbby to go get it and once Libby gets close, Belle now steals it from her and hurries to drop it at my feet. Minimum effort, maximum result. They sure are smart!

My Dazie always plays with our yellow lab, Duka. Duka is 115 lbs of pure clumsiness, and is also blind in one eye (he was just born that way). Well when Duka steals the ball or toy that Dazie was tormenting him with, she waits for him to lay down, and then sneaks up his blind side and gives her "sneak attack" to get it back. Duka never knows what happens to the toy until he sees her with it in front of him!

ahah Dazie uses total ratty strategy--

in my old post I said znots only started up with dogs her own size, well she has moved up to rotwiellers an pit bull mixes!!! She turned one over the other day and stood trumpant on the huge ones belly. Of course the Rottie must of been liking it or he could have eaten her ehehe

Znots and Dazie are definitely alike.  I have always had big dogs (I have five dogs total currently, German Sheperd, border collie, Rotty Mix, Yellow Lab, and now my Rat)  never did we ever have a small dog. But i got her on a fluke, and she is such a BIG GIFT in such a small package.  She amazes me constantly. And she loves to play with big dogs. She met a dauschund (sp?) last weekend and didnt know what to think of them at first.  She will take on 100 pounder though anyday! They all have a huge amount of fight in them for such small dogs!!! lol
