I love my nora more then ever, but I am surpirsed with the way her personality has develped with other dogs!!!!
She seems to get joy out of tricking them!! I always thought she was the nice one but I have started to notice that she instigates many situations.
At first she would never assume a submissive stance so we worked on getting her on her back and she seemed to respond.
NOW--she will see a certain dog--go submissive and when the other dog trusts her, she will jump on top and totally dominate the other pup.She will never walk away untill the other dog leavedsor I remove her. She is not viotent, just persistent in the need to dominate. This is not with all dogs, she usually fixates on one and plays and plays till I take her home---
She does not do this will bigs dogs often cause she knows better.
One thing that she did yesterday was so funny that I am still laughing about it. She was trying to dominate a pup who was pretty much her equal, but she was relentless. They took breaks and when ever it looked like she would live and let live she went back at him.
Finally one started to dig a hole and she of course had to be the foreman once she saw what was going on. The other dog left the hole to start a new one. She layed over both the holes trying to control the whole housing project which was too much for her.
I though she had given up--she got up--walked away and started skipping--the other dog followed her and started running with a third dog and before you knew it--Nora was back on both holes watching the other ones running and in possesion of the project.
People in the park were hysterical and the only way she can get away with this is becasue she is cute.
So after this long winded story I ask you---Do these dogs tend to trickery???? )) I think Ratties rule
