Fred got his name because I love Lucy (no pun intended) and that was little Ricky's dog's name. Guy is a huge golf fan and Freddy Couples is his favorite golfer so his name was a given.

I wanted our female to be named Ethyl but Guy said NO WAY and said "if we are getting another dog I get to name her Alice" so DONE. I didn't care what her name was as long I was able to save her. So now when we can't find anything or have a question we don't know the answer to we say: Go ask Alice!!

Mine were all named before I got them (all rescues) but for a while there, I had all "S" names!!  It started with Sandy then Sasha then Snoopy... then my first foster was Kaci, then I went through a Jack phase (2 fosters named Jack) then I had Spot... and Sancho... then I had a foster named Sheppy... then I went through a Mickey phase (had 2 of them)... I had a Bubba and my Ben.. and Prince.. let me think here.... well anyway, they all were named before they came to me, and I never changed them...

Taddi was named by her previous owner.  Friends of mine purchased her and had her for 6 months, until they realized that they could not keep up with her..............  Taddi is from TEDDI

Roosevelt, as the story goes he had ratties in the White House tjo clear the rats.  So they changed the E to an A and here is my Miss Taddi..........She is a treasure, 8 years later she is still so full of vim and vigor.       

Spanky!!  I like that name a lot, though I always like Froggy or Buckwheat on the Little Rascals more.

I name my FURR-Kids like I did my horse's...by looking at there pedagree! kind of a RECYCLE of NAMES! Shamus's name came from his dad Radar O'riley,all irish, names there so he needed a very BEEFFY name cause he was soooo fat! and pigish looking so her became Shamus O'riley(bubba for short)Domino really does have a #1 domino on his black butt! the rest Caesar&Julius! Cash is named after the fact we paid cash for him! and Johney Cash,Lacey Doll because she has lacie edges to her spots! Zeppellin came from the band Led Zeppellin cause he is steel blue gray in color .Polo came w/his name from shelter he was Polo his brother was Marco!get it Marco...Polo..Marco...Polo! its just fit him so I kept it!  I had a paint filly once her dad was the famous 1/4 horse," 3 Oil",so she became 3's Baby Oil!(baby) its fun to have Rats,and PAINTS fun to name!

2 teenage sons + 1 rattie that thinks he's a rottie = Brutus.

Yup... my crazy boys came up with the name.  They figured a little 3.8lb puppy that acted like he was all that needed a big name.

Well, we couldn't agree on a name for this cute little white girl and we called her Elli for  a day, but my hubby didn't like that because that was what we might name our next daughter after his grandmother (Although-I'm 40 and I don't want anymore skin kids!!!!) So the next morning, she was flitting and floating and playing on my bed and I said " Come here you little Tinkerbelle" and it stuck.  I had to add the extra "e" at the end because she is a southern belle.

ahhh!and it suits her too! I bet she FLITS about REALY WELL TOO! princess tink!

Oh I just have to get in on this one! Princess? Well, her name was going to be Leila, which is native american for either moon or night.  I almost ran into her on my way home one night from work, and we've been inseparable since.  Anyway, so my mother, who watches her while I'm at work, couldn't remember the name, so I named her Princess.  You see, she loves to be carried around, hand fed, and pampered.  She lays in bed like a real person, with the covers up under her front paws and head on the pillow.  Anyway yeah, she loves being pampered, and acts like a little princess.  Oh, and her collar says "princess" on it too   And she loves to put clothes on (she sits up for them to be put on!) Yeah! So...my little baby girl Princess.  Here's a weird looking picture:

Daisy was already named when we got her @ the humane society.  Our 2nd we named Ally, b/c her original name was Daisy too  hence my screen name daisy deux (unitl we came up w/ ally my husband & I referred to her jokingly as daisy part deux)

Anna was named after a bar. Hahaha. (apparently I used to have a lot more fun and a lot less responsibility).

My son was at his cousin's house (his nickname is Hink) and they have a rattie named Shorty, well, they watched the movie My Dog Skip and there was a guy in the movie named Dink so my son said when we got a dog he was naming it Dink and as it turns out we ended up getting a rattie!

 I find this hilarious! My kids however would HATE me for being embarassing.
