No matter how hyper Minerva is ... no matter how many birds, squirrels, etc. she's barking at ... no matter how many bouncing balls, rawhide chews or squeaky toys are available ...

... as soon as I pick her up and hold her in what we refer to as the "Paris Hilton" pose (picture that silly picture of her holding the little dressed up tiny dog), Minnie instantly is calm.  She would let me carry her around like that all day.  It's so funny ... it's almost like it hypnotizes her, because she goes for "psycho" to immediately content ...

anyone else ...

Lacey

The Peanut one likes to be carried like that too. He's only 9lbs so I think he is a toy rattie (not sure what the cut off on weight is). He's not a 'sissy boy' but he likes to be pampered and carried (ok maybe he's a little bit fussy).

Taz is just like that too. His little pawa go into a perfect pose too when I hold him up. It makes all the people at the dog park laugh that he can be a mad man one minute then you pick him up and he poses.

Oh yeah, both mine do that. They love to be carried!

Guen is the same way. The only time it dosen't help is if my sister is over then my dog goes nuts worse and tries to jump on her.

I think Daisy thinks she's on my level when I carry her around like that. She just loves it and I usually pick her up when someone strange comes in (like the repair man) and I don't even notice her. She listens intently to what is being said, just like she knows exactly what is going on. So cute!

Pepper prefers the football pose. She will just hang there if she's tucked under my arm. She also likes to be held facing me like a baby. I don't do that in public tho.

Lucy likes to be held/carried around, but at 27 lbs...it's a little much, and doesn't last very long. But she can curl up on my lap for as long as she wants.

Your dog lacey is a beauty no wonder she likes it, she's the queen. I love her color and markings.
