| Madden is the same way. But he has to actually GO OUT to realize it's raining! I open the door a little so he can see that it's pouring out and he still whines! So I take him out and he tries to run back in. |

Oh wow that's cute! The problem with that is, Madden has a tendency to pee all over his stomach when he lifts his leg, so he can't wear stuff out. Only around the house |

I just found this site & couldn't help but laugh when i saw this....my Molly won't go out in the rain, snow, cold & I live in New England...just imagine the winters !!! When it is raining, you have to tug her out of the house and then she goes as fast as she can and can't wait to get back in. She also will hold it all day and when you ask her if she wants to go she give you that look that says "No, I'm good, hopefully it will be sunny tomorrow" ADORABLE |

| mACIE Goes potty outside when it's raining but instead of taking around 5 minutes to find a spot and finally pee she just finds the first piece of grass and pees on it... also when the grass is wet she will hold some of her paws up in the air so she doesnt have to have all of them touching the wet ground... what a baby :-P |

Lucy and Dar will both run for the back door when I get up at 5:45 am ready to go, unless it's raining---then you can actually hear the screeeech from their brakes! Funny thing, though, if I open the front door during that SAME RAIN, they will both go out, pee, and run back inside. What's up with that???
Oh, and Molly is as cute as can be---welcome to you both! |

| Ginger will do this even if there is just moist grass. And the shaking, she always does they shaking at the first sign of any slight coldness. |
| |
Wow... just figured this out this morning as well... the grass was really moist with dew, and Minnie didn't like it ONE BIT !
And I was going to ask about the "being cold and shivering"... is this a trait of ratties? Minnie does that a lot at the slightest coolness.
Also does the "covering the nose" thing, and snugling deep in. Also the squeaky yawns.. toooooo cute!!!
She also has "twitches" a lot when she sleeps... for minutes at a time. Seems like longer, but I guess it's minutes. Is this common. too?

If Lady really needs to go and it's raining and/or cold outside, she'll zip outside and set the new land-speed record for relieving herself. Otherwise, she'll dawdle by the back door, looking up at us reproachfully, half-heartedly obey commands to go out onto the grass and "go pee-pee." She'll go out onto the grass and immediately trot back and act like she's ready to go back inside (as if I didn't notice that she hadn't done her business). We repeat this process about 5,000 times until she actually, erm, produces. |

| My little baby does the same thing when it rains, or the sprinklers go off...man does he hate the water. We live in Washington and there is much rain here my friend. Tobey will hold it for several hours so that the ground is dry. He will not poop or pee any where but grass, which can be a problem at times. Try using a puppy pad at the door when its been raining for several days. It seems to put Tobey at ease and I come home to no messes. |
