How could we punish her?  Tink was standing in the middle of the pillow stuffing, wagging her little tail with smile on her face.  She looked up at daddy proudly as if to say,  "See what I did, daddy?  I killed the bad pillow".  Amazing how much stuffing can be pulled out of a tiny little hole.

Oh, Liz!!! I'm sorry. To be frank, you really can't/shouldn't punish her after the fact. Did you correct her at all while you saw her pulling out the stuffing. So many ratties are absolute killers when it comes to stuffed toys, and they are very, very proud of their 'kills' LOL. Hopefully you can restuff it and sew it back up. I would make sure she has plenty of her own toys to destuff. Wal-mart has some either in their toy section or in the check out lanes that are 88 cents! I buy Daisy these the majority of the time, because they're just going to get destroyed. Occasionally I'll splurge, but it really doesn't pay. I haven't found a stuffed toy that'll stand up to the rattie urge to destuff and desqueak

P.S. Daisy does the "make a tiny hole and pull all stuff out through it too" Silly dogs!

Oh No!!  I'm sorry.  Mikey did the same thing to me when he was a puppy.  Went upstairs came back down and in less than 2 minutes he had dug a hole and was pulling the foam out.  I couldn't punish him either, but I didn't let him out of my sight for quite a while after that.  I just sewed it up and put a throw over it.   Ratties will be ratties.....

Oops! Sorry about the pillow but you really can't get too mad at them, can you? LOL
Mary's little Toa tried to de-stuff one of our chairs Saturday morning when he was visiting (our cat had started the process and he was just continuing the effort!) Silly pup!

OMG Mary, it was so cute because I was sitting there, drinking coffee, and he would start pulling at the upholestry about 3 feet from me.  I'd say "hawkeye, no" and he would look at me very quickly and sit down very "properly" and say "sowwy".  .....then after another 10 minutes he'd be back at it!

I loved having a puppy visit. Wish I had room for another puppy because I would so get one.  I've never been one to worry too much about furniture...the coffee table still has Mayfly's teeth marks on it!

Liz forgot to tell you this was a brand new couch we have saved all year to purchase. My dog doesn't like old throw pillows, must eat the new ones. Oh well, pillows don't cost that much.
