Remy (and Pete, the JRT) only have 2 speeds: 0% and 110%.  Remy can go from a dead sleep to the front door in what seems to be less than a second if he thinks he hears something.  Then if it turns out to be nothing, he can be dead asleep again in about 20 seconds!
