| That is so funny how all these ratties seem to be the same way........Bailey has to be under the covers and snuggled in between my legs. When he wants under the cover he will nudge at the top until i lift them up. |

I just got my first rattie. She is 41/2 months old. I have always had big dogs so this is totally different than what I am use to but after having her I can't imagine going back to a big dog. Since I got her I don't think I have gone anywhere except to work without her. I found this website when I was researching the breed and I think you guys are just a hoot. I have got so much great info from your website so I decided to join. Hopfully my avatar went on we will see I guess.

So its clear...Ratties love coveres!! Mine used to take hours finding his perfect spot.. but now since we got our second rattie he has a specific spot he HAS to sleep. (right smooshed between me and my hubby). Just like all of your ratties he HAS to be under the covers or he cannot settle. We often lift the covers to peek at him and he will be completley content but panting away like its a hot summer day He doesnt mind being completley crushed or smooshed..I think the more contact he gets with us the happier he is. Ive woken up laying almost completley on top of him and he was happy as a clam. Ratties are such a funny breed! And SO sweet. |

Hey where did you find that big bed? and is it washable?I have 2 of the ones with the removeable cover but YES! they learned how to remove it and chew all the memory foam to ratty bits! I need that it is MACHINE!washable every week! Any Ideas!?(rat proof!) they love to drag them around and heap in there bones and they get really dirty!I' glad my new bed is too high (white bedding and all) for them to climb up |

I just got Joleigh a little over a week ago and as soon as i put her in the bed she darted under the covers.. i laid down in bed with her trying to fall asleep and she would come out of the bottom of the cover, come to my face, and go back under. i thought she was just acting silly so i ignored her the next time she did it and left my eyes shut instead of looking at her... she grabbed the covers w/ her mouth and covered my head with them.. apparently she doesnt wanna be under there all by herself! now everynight i wake up with my face covered |

Our three sleep under the covers too and they want to be snuggled up against me or my husband. They each have their place they start out at bedtime and then move around during the night. Its like having electric heaters under the covers. |

We inherited Moki last year and she is an awesome little dog. Didn't know a whole lot about rat terriers when we got her, but she set us straight in the ways of the rat terrier world. It took her about 3 days to find her way into our bed and has been there ever since. She used to just try and snowplow her way under the covers and would just end up pushing them around. She now has us trained. She will wait until we are both in bed, then will jump up between us from the foot of the bed and walk up and get between our pillows until one of us raises the covers and then she'll go down and curl up between us. |
