This is so true.  I found out about this site last week and have visited it more than once a day since.  Everyone is so nice and it's exciting to talk to others that have RTs.  I don't know anyone else that does although we do see them randomly at the dog park.  I forever get asked what type of dog they are and for some reason people can't seem to put the word "rat" before the word "terrier."  One lady kept saying they were Fox Terriers and lots of people have said they are Jack Russells even though they look nothing like one.  Both of my RTs are tall and long.  I think next time someone asks I'll say they are Great Danes.

Our rattie is named Hendryx because the shelter had him tagged as a fox terrier and my wife didn't look underneath him when we took the trial walk (she wanted to name him Foxy Lady, I said that's no lady, that's  &^$%&*$&%$ - so we compromised on Hendryx). I was never really convinced that he's a fox terrier, and when I found this site and saw avatars that could have been mug shots of Hendryx I knew that we had found his true breed.

As for being addicted to this site, I sent a couple of posts to my dept. chair. She says that I have too much time on my hands and gave me an additional course to teach. I think I'll do the psychopharmacology of rat terriers.
