you lay with her all day, no matter how bad you want to play.\

I got the flu. Yesterday I laid on the couch all day (between trips to the bathroom) and Alice just laid with me all day. Everynow and then she would bring a toy up with her and just lay with it but she never left my side. What a good girl. 1/2 day at work today then back to the couch.

The great pleasure of a dog is that you may make a fool of yourself with him and not only will he not scold you, but he will make a fool of himself too

Sorry you have the flu. Many of us here have had the same experience with our ratties - no matter how energetic they normally are they won't leave us if we're sick!

I hope you feel better!
Isn't it lovey how ratties will put aside what they really want to do sometimes when they sense that you're sick or sad?

They are the best nursemaids! Just having them lay beside you is the best medicine you could take.

YEP!  I was sick yesterday...not with the flu though(hope you are better by the way) And Ace was like my little guardian.  I love that he has such an instinct when his "humans" need him.  Hes normally the MOST HYPER DOG EVER but when someone is sick or even upset hes right there.  Last time I cried, he was right there with me and tried to lick my tears away.

GOTTA LOVE RATTIES!!!!!

Hope everyone is feeling better. The sweet little rats will try to make you feel so much better. The day after we got Nibs, I got sick and spent the day sleeping on the sofa, he curled up at my feet and never moved until my hubby came home from the movies.

I see it was quite awhile ago that this was posted so I'm hoping you feel better by now When I broke my foot over the summer and could only lay in bed my Bella Rosa was by my side. She didn't even want to go for walks and would whine when the dog walker came. She also always had to be where she could see the front door. It feels good to be so guarded but sometimes I think she could tone it down a bit.

Just when you think your Rattie has run out of energy, it will get back up and do it all again.
