You think it's time to go out in the backyard and dig, run, jump play and attack the neighbors rottie. Then look at your owner puzzled when you are back in your cage to heal. |

| YEP!! Times 2!! Although they did figure out on their own that they shouldn't try to jump up on the bed, couch, chair, etc, with a sore tummy. They'd turn and give me a pathetic look...PLEASE lift me up there! |

| Button was exactly the same, bouncing off the walls the very next day. Zipper, on the other hand, was totally different. Real sore, lethargic, cranky with Button, irritable with us. |

Bailey was spayed last Wednesday. When I called to check on her I said I'm supposed to pick her up anytime after 3:00 p.m. The vet tech said no, in your case you can come earlier. Bailey was wide awake 45 minutes after her surgery. She was letting them know that she did not like staying in that cage and she wanted her Mama to come get her. They couldn't believe how she bounced back. J |

I couldn't believe how she thought she was good to go. I have also found the tranquilizers didn't do much for her either. I think once she was put in her cage she did lay down and rest and didn't seem to mind it at all. I think she liked it but the excitement when she was out was to much.
My neighbors have a female JRT & Black Lab and her sister has a male Rottie she brings over daily. They don't play together because my little Ratty thinks she is going to take them all on. She is very protective of Fred (our JRT) she doesn't like other girls playing with him AT ALL.
Today is one week from her spay, last night I let her run and do whatever she wanted. I dont' have the energy to try and keep her low key anymore. I think after a week, her scar looks great, she finished all her meds and should be okay now to be a happy terrier. |

I realize you wrote the question regarding being neutered awhile ago, but I just read it.My crazy little Lloyd was FULL SPEED ahead the next morning after his surgery.I was worried about leaving him alone for the day after, but he slept & was fine.Although it sounds mean, the night after/of his surgery...he was my dream dog.Not under my feet, following my every move, etc.He slept on the living room floor & watched me cook.he was a love bug sleepy boy.Can you tell he wears me out somedays???? |

I know how you feel, I think now with two it is so much easier. They wear each other out. Although Alice wears our JRT Fred out too. He is in bed by 8:00 now, exhausted and she is still rearing to go!! |
