Whenever we give Madden a treat or a chewstick or ANYTHING, he HAS to bring it to a carpeted area. Does anybody else's dog do this? I thought everything he did was so weird but everyone else's rattie seems to do it too so he's probably not alone on this one!

Nibbler does this! He'll even bring his dog food there too. And on the couch... however he's tried bringing it into bed and we def. put a stop to that!

Toby does this too. All his snacks go to the living room floor. He grabs a bit of food and goes to the carpet to eat it. So yea...he is a living room junkie too.

Ernie too! That's so funny. He also gets to lick the lunch container my husband brings home from work if he took leftovers. He picks the container up with his teeth and heads for the livingroom. Gotta go to a safe place to lick away. Not much in there but it must be worth lickin....

my mom's terrier (fox or rat, not sure) does this all the time. He has tried to carry large pots and pans in the living room before. he won't eat his food unless it's in the livingroom, spilled ALLL over the floor. He has to tip the bowl over.

My girls bring their tiny rawhide sticks to the carpet, but not any of their other food.

Casey here gets laughed at by my room mate Kevin because he has little piles of dog food on different spots of the carpet. We just tell him he is saving them for later. He also picks out all the mixed kibbles that he doesn't like to eat and leaves those for Kevin to find. It doesn't bother anybody but Kevin. We think Casey does it to bother him.

My girls eat everything in the family room, food, snacks, whatever it might be. Try as we might to put their bowls in the kitchen, we gave up after watching them just stare at their bowls. How we spoil our puppies!

Alice eats her food out of her dish but any treats or chewies she thinks her happy butt needs to eat on the couch. So she jumps up, we put her back on the floor, she jumps up, we put her back on the floor, she jumps up, we put her back on the floor, she jumps up, we put her back on the floor, she jumps up, we put her back on the floor, ...................you get the idea.

Sassie did the exact same thing to me. No matter what I tried she just had to bring her a mouth full to the edge of the carpet and eat it there. I even tried putting a big rug under her food/water dish and it worked ok but from time to time she would still go to the carpet. Must be a dog thing.

I plan on putting a shaggy rug under Molly's dish because the only carpet I have in this house are in two bedrooms and she is not going eat in there.

Daisy and Licorice bring every thing into the living room! Treats especially. But our living room looks like a toy bomb went off, with crumbs of treats everywhere @ the end of the day! So we turn on the vaccum ( A.K.A. Daisy) and she sucks all of the crumbs up!

Hendryx eats his food in the kitchen, but any kind of a treat he takes to the family room. The only exception to this seems to be the occasional really messy thing he either got as a treat or drags in from outside (we have a doggy door) - these he'll only eat on the most expensive rug that he can find available before we pick him up and throw him out of that room.

His name is Hendryx! He's a rat terrier! OK!
