Thanks for the ideas, 15 minutes should be ok on his eyes!  Good!  no night time training!! We both get cranky for those

lol, that's where I used to put Mic's treats, in a plastic bag, but somehow he always knew!! He must have a really good sniffer...  I might just have to double up on bags, and wrap them in paper towels and a t-shirt... and put something else smelly around that!   (just kidding, how would I ever get the treat out!!)  I'm sure I'll figure out something to hide the treat... do they make tupperware that can fit in your pocket?

One other question I just thought of (can you tell I want this to go smooooth)  When you have him on a line, do you have it attached to something so your hands are free? Or are you holding on to one end and he's on the other?  Because I live in a condo (no yard) and I've been looking around the only open area where I can train him in and there is nothing to attach a line too...

Always hold the end of the line, Kim.  That way you have total control of when he comes when you call him.  You "reel him in" and he will get the idea pretty quickly---just ask Shannon!

Yup! Hang on to the line...a reward can also be other things...if food is too distracting, maybe something else will work... can you do back flips for Mic?? LOL Maybe Nora or Paul can help better with that. I have been using Chicken Chips by Smokehouse... they have no smell (at least to me). Maybe that would work... good luck!!

Kim, please read what I wrote under "Mario's Training Session" thread in the training forum, originally started by Shannon. I tried to address the "recall" issue as completely as I knew how. Let me know if you have any specific questions I did not address, ok?

Ok! Thank you so much I hope to get started this week, its just that the dollar store by me did not have the line, so I have to search some other stores... But I'm sure I'll have questions or at least I will post to let you know how its going!
