Hi everybody!  i just thot i'd drop by and give an update of Yoda. just to explain quickly she was snapping at people and even bit me once. well basically i realized i wasnt ready to go to town and ask strangers to help me condition my dog (or should i say, gremlin?) so alternatively, i just started having LOTS more parties with many different people coming over all the time.  any ways she is getting way better! but still, barks and growls at first.....  i put her on a leash as people come in and i dont let her off until i'm pretty sure all the guests have arrived. by then, everyone has met her.  if she is bad i put her back on the leash.  this is pure torture, of course, and she usually calms down by the end of the night is everyones' best friend, licking all over them & climbing up in thier laps.  she is so hilarious!

anyways, first i was nervous about it affecting her adversely because of loud music, new people, noise, etc. but it has actually changed her personality and she is getting more relaxed intsead. (still plenty of energy tho) she also seems to be glowing & smiling alot more during the day just acting more chilled out over all.

thanks again for the advice you guys gave me

hope everybody's having a great day!

LOL - what do they call that kind of training - flooding with stimuli or something? So glad it's working and she's getting better.

I'm really glad to hear that's working as well... I wonder if I should try something like that for Yogi, he's never bit anyone but he is snappy and shy, I am too afraid to let anyone pet him, though and have kept him away from people except my immediate family. This has given me some food for thought, thanks for sharing.

I wonder if I started growling and biting if Paul would start having a bunch of parties?  It might be worth a try.
