Maybe you could block off a room like a kitchen or put her in the bathroom.

She's just a wee one. I'd probably start crate training her now. Think of it as not curtailing her freedom but giving her someplace secure to be where she'll feel safe when she's alone. I felt the same way about Wolf after he outgrew his pen, but there's a peace of mind that comes knowing they won't somehow get into something I didn't hink to put out of reach. Or, since she's still a wee one, maybe a pet playpen set up so there is a sleeping area, eating area and puppy pad area. That worked until Wolf could jump over.

I agree with kaet, crate her. If no one is going to be in the house, it's safer for her to be crated and the whining will not annoy anyone.
Crating is not just better for housebreaking your pup, it's a means to protect your pup and ensure that she'll be safe from harm when you're not home.

I agree you must crate her. How long will you be gone? If it is a full day then maybe you could start by putting a crate in a bathroom with some toys and pee pads and work up to crating her the whole time. I would definately start now with the crate though, for short periods of time. If you choose to give ger run of the house still while you are gone, be prepared for accidents and problems. Crating is not bad in anyway. There are many good threads on this under training. Good luck!!

I used crate training with both of my dogs and it worked great...I still crate Julia when we're not home. We just want to keep her safe while we're not here...I agree, there are many threads on crate training on this site that will help you out~
