When we go out and put Woody in the crate he cries terrible. What can we do to help him? He is getting alittle better with it could it just be his age?

have you tried to put a kong in there for him to play with?? fill it with a bunch of yummy stuff. This will keep him busy. Also you can put a blanket over the door so it is like a den.

Just be sure when putting toys in the crate he won't cute them apart like with the fabric toys with the squekers in them? I did this yesterday with Izzy who is having a very tough time crate training mostly due to seperation issues. She shreaded them by the time i got home and had to throw them all out. Also since she is eliminating in her crate i can't wash them like the blanket or the kong toys. So out they go. Although they are her favorite and entertain her the most no more fabric toys in her crate.

Oh and i have found that an all natural pill which you can pick up at your local pet store called "Quite moments" works okay. Izzy seems to bark alot when we leave and she is in her crate. The "Quite moments pill seem to calm her some. Not much but it seemed to calm her a little quicker then going it alone. It is not a cure all and i only plan to give this to her until she has adjusted.
