Lucy's agility was cancelled this week due to high heats. It was 107 yesterday and class was to be held outside. This was something that was just not going to work so the trainer called to cancel. Not saying I was overly dissappointed. I honestly did not want to go at the normal time, too hot. Although it could have just been bumped back and been held from 8-9 instead because the winds picked up and it cooled down below 100 pretty quick. So now there will be another make up day so we still have three weeks to go. I do think this was the absolute best decision for all involved, humans included.

Makes sense to me.   Best for dog and humans.

I love your avatar .

Good thing!  Geez Mareez, you guys would not have a very "fun" time feling like you were running around inside a blast furnace. maybe it will cool down a lot before next week's class.

It's back down to the normal upper 80s to 90s today. Hopefully it will stay this way. Although looking ahead the forecast says it's to be 99 on Wednesday, the day before class.

I think this was best too... this heat is terrible. I walked Shadow last night at 9:30 and it was 113.... go figure. During the day when I get home from work... it is so hot (I have to take him to go potty cause he has been in his crate all day). He looks at me when we get outside. I have to pick him up to take him to the grass to pee, then pick him up to take him to the shady side with the gravel to poop. Then I pick him up to bring him in the house. The concret sidewalk it too hot for their little pads. I'm sure Lucy appreciates it too. Stay cool and try to stay inside if possible...

Oh yuck. I don't know what I would do if it were still 113 at 9:30. Watch out for burning paws. My friend was over at another friends cabin on this side of the mountains and her dog's paws got all burnt and blistered from hot cement.
