Hey guys

I have a qick quiery for ya as i am inexpierienced especially with young pups i was wondering what was the "normal" kind of play they display with each other.

You see a friend of my brother in law came over yesterday with a 6 week old American bulldog puppy. Granted he is over a month younger that toby and alot less energetic but he didnt seem all that interested in play lol.

Toby on the other habd was jumping all over him niping him sitting down with him and barking at him jumping all over they place. He was very happy and lively but i am not sure if he was a little too rough on the little tike, the bulldog didnt seem to mind would just bat him out the way and twaddle off the a different corner to try to get some rest.

They did play some but the biting from toby worried me a bit.

Is that normal play?

Topper likes to play rough, and so do other Ratties that I have seen, to the dismay of some of the non-Rattie owners...not the expert here though..

Sydney and Sonic play and to people that do not know them, it looks like they are the worse enemies ever.

My boomer plays with the big dogs like he was a big dog. People who dont know him think he wants to rip their throats out.... (I think its that napoleon syndrome) but he always chills out if I holler boomer..... he knows that that means he is irritating the big dogs and needs to give them a break to rest.. (plus the big dogs are both considerably older 6 and 4-they are trying to be old and lazy and here comes this whipper snapper wanting to play all the time!!!!) seems like the big dogs are getting a work out with Boomer living here thought they both seem to be slimming down a bit!!! but that may be the running on the treadmill! yup my dogs all run on the treadmill!!!! just like ceasar millans dogs do!!!!! I mean it gets to freakin cold to run or even take them for a walk sometimes in the winter!!!! (-18-BRRRRRRR)

Oh yeah dont forget that your puppy is a PUPPY that play is thier way of asserting dominance.... and that is good that your little baby knows he is running the show already!!!! I wouldnt be to overly concerned about it... unless the bigger dogs is saying in a tone that you will notice that he or she is finished playing I wouldnt worry.... My dogs tone change when ever they have had enuff of boomers crap.... and that is when I know to give him the shout. he stops they get a break and all is harmonious!!!!

Good luck!!!
