Another big busy day of agility last night. Again Lucy did well, even with having an altercation with the black lab again. Seems the lab wanted Lucy's tug toy. A lot was covered last night. The tunnel thing that has a collapse end was introduced but Lucy want nothing to do with that. She did not like it and refused to go in it. Also the weave poles were introduced spread apart so the dogs get the idea of walking in between the poles and not avoiding going through them, soon the will be moved closer and closer in causing the dogs to weave the poles. Other than that we worked in stations. (1) The bridge, still not completely raised combined with a jump. (2) Curved tunnel working on call the dog in next direction, Lucy does not like the long tunnell all that much. (3) the ramps combined with a tire jump. (4) Table combined with tired jump working on work ahead of us and come back to be redirected. (5) the collapse tunnel. Then at the end we combined the tire jump, tunnel, ramps, another tire jump, bridge, and jump all together to create an obsticale course. Lucy did very well other than the fact that she does not like the long tunnel. She does great in the tunnel in my backyard, even when we make it longer by connecting my moms tunnel to it. My dad is going to make my mom and myself a bridge so the dogs can practice that skill. I guess this is the time when having a lumber yard in the family and a crafty dad comes in handy. |
