I wrote earlier about my one rat terrier being aggressive towards my kids and now it seems he is getting more aggressive snapping and biting not just to the kids but myself the other puppy  I don't know what to do I have been trying to exercise him more I just don't understand why he is getting like this I have to be honest I am a little frightened fo the whole situation. any advice I tried the more exercise but it doesn't seem to be working?

Is he the one that is/was vomiting? Maybe he really is not feeling well and needs to get a vet check? I know my Ivy can get a little snippy with my son but usually it is cause he will not leave her alone. It is very frustrating sometimes. How old is your little fellow? Maybe the hormones are starting to kick it and that could be an issue.

yes he is the one  vomiting, He is 5 months old I can understand the kids maybe not leaving him alone but my other puppy will lay next to him and sometimes he will snap at him just for laying next to him it is hard because I am trying to figure out what is wrong and how I can fix it

that is very odd I guess I would take him to the vet and make sure he is not hurting some where. For such a young guy that is very strange. I am sorry I don't have any ideas is it the white one or the tri in your pictures? This may be a silly question but can he hear? I am just trying to get a clue. I know some dogs that can not hear are very sensitive to touch and what not.

sounds like he thinks he is in charge or rather at this age wants to be in charge of the food. Ivy tried to do that with my son so I had him feed her the meal one kibble at at time and she had to do something for it sit down or shake hands. I think that was when she was about 4-5 months and now she is just about 7 months. It took a lot of time to do it that way but she finally figured out that she better be good for the chow it did not matter who was in the room. I have worked very hard to make sure we humans are in charge!! Just today a little boy maybe 2 wanted to give her a treat and I told her to sit with a hand signal behind his back and then had him give it to her. She has learned to be very gentle or it means NO food.

one more thing sounds like he is trying to be the dominant leader of the dogs which is fine but make sure the humans are above him!!

I just watched the video that was posted in the finger thread and it was very interesting have you seen it?leerburg.com/dogfight.htm I tried to have my son put the bowl down for Ivy but it she was still trying to guard her food so I did the one kibble at a time and it worked. It can be frustrating to figure these guys out I am a dog groomer and have to figure out dogs all day long and I love trying to get into their heads and figure out the easiest way to get things done.
