ok so who on here has or has read the dog bible? my co worker recommeded it and i glanced at it for a minute and it looked pretty cool, i just ordered it, hopefully coming tomorrow, but i wanted to know if anyonme has it or has read it? was it helpful?

My son bought it for me last Xmas...I havn't read it but have glanced at it..I usually only read at night just before I go to sleep and this book is heavy and hard to hold up just right to read. I do like having it though and I know there's lots of good info in it.

i beleive it has sections about breeds n it, even rat terriers, and then it has like everything you need to know like if your dog got sick, what symptoms would be what and what to do about it, and then stuff like traveling with your pet and doing then in this situation with your pet. i beleive it has everything you need to know in it, hense dog bible lol but im not sure exactly whats in it or how usefull it is yet, i should find out later today or tomorrow, but let me know if anyone uses it like a bible lol for their dogs anyway lol. just want to know what other people think. it was at borders for like 20 and at petco for a little over that, but i got it on amazon for like 11 lol yay, i cant wait for it to come

if that's the book I'm thinking of, it has breed standard/info on tons of different breeds. I've flipped through it at the store a few times, trying to figure out what one of my boys was a mix of. there was tons of great info in it. I have a pretty bad doggie first aid book right now that my mom got me (it doesn't even have anything about insect bites! ) Let us know how useful this book is...I've been wanting a better book for a long time now.

well i just got it, havnt had a ton of time to look through it, but i looked at the table of contents and let me just say that i am already impressed and cant wait to get into it, just reading the table of contents i would recommend it to any dog owner lol
