I am at my wits end with Ollie. Anytime he is in my lap he wants to go down my shirt...he won't quit. I will put him down on the floor and tell him no, but he stills tries it every time he is in my lap.
Ok, I am learning that ratties are panty crazy...guess mine is boob crazy too LOL |

| Have you tried holding him in your lap along with a towel or small lap blanket for him to crawl under? |

My Chloe likes to try and snuggle in my shirt sometimes too. I think you're just going to have to be diligent with the no's every time he tries that, and he'll get it eventually. if that doesn't work yuo can always try the squirt bottle. Cute rattie BTW. Have you posted other pics of him yet? Welcome to the site!! |

Couldn't help but laugh when I read this .. sorry... haha Sounds like he has a very strong instinct for burrowing... I would get a soft blanket and allow him to burrow underneath it... |

I've said this just recently, but my first Rat, Bandit's favorite place was on my chest under my shirt! My fosters Prince and Mickey just LOVE burrowing under the covers! All of 'em do, actually! |

| Oh I have tried the blanket or towel thing, will ignore them every time to get down my shirt. If he was just going down my shirt to lay is one thing but...I failed to mention he is also bad at licking everything AND still tries to chew on everything and those razor puppy teeth don't mix well with boobs. He even tries to get not only inside my shirt but all the way into my bra LOL |

Well, you're just going to have to invent a 3 cup bra to carry him around in. |

I've got 7 of them right now! Poor Tinkerbelle can not even be near her puppies without a full on attack of her boobies. Maybe Ollie was taken away to early from her Mommy. I'll tell you what Tinkerbelle does to them. She bites their little heads and chews on their ears and legs. We are trying to wean the puppies right now and My way would be to separate the Mommy, but Tink wants to see them and check on them. I watched her today and everytime they jump up for a nipple she growls and nips at them.
So....maybe you should be the Mama dog and yelp and pinch Ollie's ear so that he knows he can't do that. Tinkerbelle has to actually get physcial with them....Eventually, they will wear out or just start playing with her. Of course this only works when I let her be a with few puppies at a time. If she has the onslaught of all 7, they attack and push her down and she just lies there with her mouth open and tries to bite them if they come near her mouth. It's quite the site to see. It's quite vampirish! |

Ok, I just re-read a previous post that you had. Adorable pics BTW...Anyway, you got Ollie at 6 weeks old. That is the problem. He was too young and probably was weaned by just taking him from his Mommy. The Mommy has to train to them those last 2 weeks after they are no longer nursing. She teaches them how to be social and how hard to bite and not to bite. Just because puppies can eat solids on their own at 6 weeks, they are really not ready to be totally weaned from being with their Mother and littermates....from what I have read. So...he just missed this basic training from his Mommy and he's trying to nurse you. I know that sounds silly, but I would yelp and pinch his ears like I said already. Be the alpha dog...Ollie just doesn't understand. It's not his fault. |

| Agree with Carol - 6 weeks is too young to take a puppy from his mother (they survive fine but you see these kinds of socialization problems in them.) Good breeders don't let buyers take puppies until 8 weeks old! |

Cameo did the same with both Janie and me for about two-three weeks when she came home at 10 weeks old. And we all know how sharp those little teefers can be, huh? Keep trying different things for him to suckle, maybe you'll find something a little more confortable for you. Personally I'd rather give up a finger than a nipple. While I'm not advising you to do this, but we had a little success with Cameo using real baby binkies, fortunately she didn't tear one up and we kept a constant eye on her when she had one. You will have to be on constant guard for chewing on things, everything. These little guys and gals are very inquisitive and learn about things by chewing on them, in part. Your Ollie is a little cutie and will grow up to be a handsome boy. And look at those ears up at six weeks! |

Never tried pinching the ears, will definitely have to try that. I have tried the yelping thing when he bites because he does chew on everything and it seems his favorite chew toy is ME. When I yelp he just keeps going...so maybe in combination with ear pinching, just might work.... Thanks guys |

| You can also grab them by the scruf. (The extra skin at the back of the neck.) That's how fur mommy picks them up and moves them if they are somewhere they shouldn't be. |
