After all the going back and forth concerning the Pitbull pup... who I was supposed to start training this week... the owners have decided to find another home for him. They say they can't handle him.
I give up! Talk about TOTAL frustration!!!
When my co-worker informed me of this awhile ago... I just looked at him. I'm at a total loss for words at this point. I just shrugged my shoulders and rolled my eyes. He said "I know"... and walked out of my office.
People never cease to amaze me...
Once again... the dog loses.... |

| It is sad that the owners didn't think about what it would take to own a puppy, expeciallly that breed. But atleast now they will beable to find another place to live faster, I just hope that the puppy goes to a good home and not to the wrong place. |

I have officially washed my hands of the situation... I have no respect or patience with people like that. They've had the dog less than a month for goodness sake! And for me to say anything would be a case of me totally wasting my time and breath... I just feel so badly for the puppy. |

That is a shame. Pitbulls can be wonderful family pets if given proper training. Their breed gets such a bad rap. |

Good heavens, they didn't even give the dog a chance.. Had they let you train this dog, he would have been an awesome dog.. |

SO TRUE! I think I agonized over the situation much more than they have.
But my thing is... how can you determine only within a 3-week timeframe... that the puppy is too much to handle?
I have so many questions I'd like to ask these folks... but I'm not gonna waste my time. I probably wouldn't be nice. |

| These people must be very impulsive and/or lazy. They get a puppy without giving it any thought and then they get bored with it or tired of taking care of it and give it away. It's probably the best thing for the puppy in the long run, unless they took it to a kill shelter. |

I don't blame you Nora, no sense giving good advice and help to stupid people who shouldn't have done such a thing to start with. Makes me want to smack the crap out of someone. You're right to let it go but I would still be tee totally ticked off. Poor pup, he didn't have a chance at all. I pray he gets a good home. |

| Why am I not surprised. Some people should really not be able to own animals. I think they should make you pass a test to own animals and have kids, but sadly I don't rule the world. Pitbulls get the reputation they have because of people that do not know how to own them, and a Pitbull is not the kind of dog you pick up on a whim. Sadly it is the puppy that will lose out and when their apartment is ready they will probably go pick up another dog. This is reason #435 why dogs are easier to deal with than people. |

Geez. What a shame. All Pitbulls aren't nasty. It's just the ones that are trained for illegal fighting. How sad. |

For goodness sakes! Well, hopefully the dog will find a better home with people who care about it and WANT to get it the proper training. My guess is they wouldn't have wanted to do their part in helping to train him anyways. They obviously don't sound like people who try very hard to give their time to things...so maybe it's a good thing for the dog? I am trying to see the positive. |
