ok i have a question i need to ask for my mom? what do you do when 1 dog is trying to be an alpha, she is at her wits end bout this she doesnt know what to do? i know there was a thread for this but i forgot. can anyone help me and my mom?

The dog is tryng to be alpha over HER? or over another dog (or cat) in the house?

her chi is trying to be the alpha over the other dogs.he is 5 yrs old

she has 2 full chi's and a chi/rattie mix only 1 of them is fixed.

chaquito....rattie mix is 5yrs old

1 chi is 5yrs old and the other chi 3yrs old

Which dog is fixed? Are the other dogs male or female?

First thing I would suggest (in case there are any agression issues) is to get all the dogs spayed or neutered.
Second thing - dogs in a pack (and even 2 or 3 dogs makes a pack) will have an alpha. It's just how they work so unless they are getting to agressive and she is afraid they are hurting each other then I would let them work it out....one of them WILL be alpha. As long as your mom is alpha over all the dogs then it should be ok.

Is there a specific problem that is causing her concern?
