This is the wireless fence that I use for Max and I LOVE it!!! We have NEVER had any problems with it and in the year that we've had it, Max has NEVER gotten out! He won't even get near his perimeter with out his collar on. We keep it set on 2 and he's been "bit" twice...that's all it took for him.

I have petsafe invisible fencing -- but mine has a wire because we wanted to do a large area. I love it and the petsafe people are great -- really stand behind their products.

Check out Katie Scarlett and Company, KS's new site (includes magazine):

I used to have labs that we used the wireless fence on, it worked great! I'm scared to use it with Tinkerbell...since she is an inside dog...it could get confusing because the way my parents have it set up, she couldn't go up the steps in the front or back yards. She couldn't even go but half of the yard in the front...I want to use it for her because she likes to run to the neighbors and won't come back...she's too fast to have to be chasing...but I don't want to confuse her.

wireless is only bad if you are in a populated area... it will pick up FM radio waves and can shock your dog even if he/she is in the "zone". even in the house wearing the collar. if you are not near a road and the frequency cannot be picked up then dont worry. I am 200 ft from a main road and trucks/cars pass regulary... i was advised against it. also its limited to i think 90 ft circumference from point of the transmitter.. including the house. wired systems set the parameter wherever you run your wires.

i am paying to get the INVISIBLE FENCE INSTALLED. its expensive for sure... but great warranty. worth it for my kids though!

I have one I have started training Roxi on. I have noticed that where I set the flags and where it is warning her in the training has changed. So I am going to adjust where the flags are. My last rattie picked it up fast and it worked. I always carried him over when we were going for a walk even though his collar was not on him.
