well patches is doing a little better, i'm learning to treat him like a dog and not like my spoiled child, and hes very smart it took me a long time to get him to sleep in his doggie bed and not my bed, but thats where hes been since that horrible biting incident... Thank you very much to everyone who helped my stay positive, and not let me feel like taking "the easy way out, by removing him from my house....

Ill try to post pictures when i figure out how to do it....

Did you end up getting a trainer to help him? or did you do it on your own? either way keep up the good work.

Good job! Thanks for sticking with and giving him a chance, that is a great example for others having this problem.

Thank you for taking the time to update us, and congrats on putting forth the effort to correct the behavior issue you were having with your dog. It's hard not to coddle these dogs, as they are so loving and responsive. But there's a time for that... and that time is not when you are attempting to deal with an issue. Positive reinforcement by affection, treats, toys, etc. is always a good thing, but sometimes those "rewards" need to be earned. Thank YOU for taking the responsibility for this behavior and NOT rehoming your dog!

That's great news.  Sometimes we really do have to take them down a notch - so we can reinforce who's boss.  Good luck on continued progress.
