I'm so proud of Mario!! 
We just finished his training session and I am amazed by how well he's doing.
I used cheese today for a treat and brought him in the back yard. If I even look at Mario, he comes running! 
I had planned on staying in the back for a few more days but he's doing SO well I took him to the front again.
I would say, "Mario," his head would pop up and he would look at me. Then I said, "come!" He would bolt to me like lightening!!! YAY!
His furfriend, the rottie was out while we were doing this but Mario STILL came to me! I let him go over to say hi and then i called him. Guess what??? My baby came running!!! OMG!
I couldn't believe that I didn't even have to pull on his line! I am SO proud!
I HAVE to get a proper line though. We kept getting tangled..I'm using a kite string since I didn't have anything else... I know I'm a dork!! LOL |

hehehehe! I can just see you out there with a kite string! But good thing is if the wind blew Mario wouldn't get far! hehehe

ps---you really DO need something a little sturdier than kite string---if for some reason he saw something interesting, I doubt that the string could hold him if he decided to run, you know? Just trying to be helpful, that's all. |

LOL!!! Oh, I know! That's why I said I was a dork!  I thought it would be okay for a day or two in the back yard but since I've moved out front, it's a different story.
I left this part out before cuz it makes me look less than graceful...BUT we kept getting tangled and I fell down!!!      LOL Then, once we got straightened out, I had a hand full of kite string and Mario ran over to a tree to pee and my fingers got all squished and it hurt!  I looked up to see my neighbor laughing at me!! Okay, see?? I am a dork!!

I'm going tomorrow to get a proper line!!  |

Well, there was no pointing. I gave my neighbor a good chuckle and a, "Oh, are you okay?" I said, "sure, I can see your concern...are those tears of concern??" NOT!! LOL
NOT my best moment!!
OH, I even got a call from NORA!!! DOH! LOL

| Yes indeed! I called her and threatened her with her life if she doesnt' get her butt out to Petsmart tomorrow to purchase a REAL genuine long line. I think Mario at least deserves that, don't you? What good is a handler with a broken leg, after all? |
