yeah ans you got my email from netzero as well! maybe she just hasnt sent one yet. i really hope you hear from er soon. i really think you should send her another message from a differnent email, im sure that would make sure she got it and you could hear back from her quicker.
yeah i doubt that we will be that unlucky. i mean tis a 50 50 chance right. and i know that babies all start out as females, maybe it is the same with dogs lol. |

i think i read that rat terriers have around 5-7 puppies 6 being the average. im not sure it its the same with a first litter but i would think it would be so im more optimistic about it. i really really home she comes into season this month! i was a puppy. and i wanna have her for halowwen and take her out in a little costume lol. but as long as i have herbefore thanksgiving i will be happy. i want her to have time to get her vaccines so i can socialize her with my friends dogs durning my breaks from school  |

yeah! i'm really excited too! aaaagh! i think time'll fly by more when she's pregnant though  haha i can't wait to finally get all of her puppy stuff! i went to ross today and got some stuff and wudda ya know? they have some doggie stuff there too! they had really cute beds for like 10 bucks! and they're pretty large too! they had some other stuff that i liked too, i could barely keep myself from buying stuff! lol |

haha yeah i know what you mean, i just want her to come into season already! haha my mom went to my cousins house bcasue she had a garage sale to try and get rid of stuff, and my mom saw a leash and a food/water bowl and she got it and called me and was like oh guess what...haha shes actually excited about it, and even was trying to help. that deserves a wow! |

haha that's awesome! you're mom's so cool if nathan had his way, i wouldn't get my puppy supplies until i actually had the puppy or the day before! haha fat chance buddy!
yeah, i remember somebody posted on this post about it... you'll probably have to remind me when it gets closer though, i don't know if i'll be able to go or not, but it sounds fun

haha yeah shes great, but i didnt know shed be this supportive. i guess she understands that once ive made up my mind theres no way she can chasnge it lol. my dad would be more against it. haha i think that if i told him how much i will be paying to get my puppy, THEN he would have a problem haha but im not stupid enough to go there lol
is there a phone number on the website that you could call? i swear i saw a num,ber for her some where, i will look at the website and through my emails and see if i can find a number, if youd wanna call that is lol |

lol yeah, i'm not going to tell my parents how much i'm going to be spending either (unless they specifically ask) but still lol
um... i think there was a phone number... but i'd rather get through by email if possible... i dunno, i just write better than i do talk on the phone with strangers... cuz really, what would i say? lol typing i have as much time as i want to choose my words but if i gotta then i gotta! |

| saturday saturday saturday!! AHHH!!!! I still have so much to do! It's so surreal, I have been thinking about this day for so long, and now that it's hear, I have forgotten everything! I'm so nervous to bring her home! eeeek! My roomies are not going to be happy if she is peeing all over the house, so I'll have to be really organized and keep to a potty schedule! Have you guys thought about using a playpen? I bought a baby play pen, and I was planning to put her crate, litter box, toys, and water bowl in there. I don't know how much of the house I should introduce her to either, because I know it can be really overwhelming at first! Also, if I keep the litter box in the pen, should I get another one for outside the pen that stay sin a permanent spot as well? I know you are supposed to keep it in one specific spot, but she won't have access to it all the time, like when we're playing, if it's in the pen.... ahh! She's almost here!! |

yeah same here, i prefer email as well, its easier, but phone its an option if this keeps goingl ike it is. but im sure she will get a hold of you. i cant imagine why your email isnt working with hers. you should try looking in the help section and see if theres anything on this troubleshooting.
haha if my dad asked how much i would totally give him a number like 1/4 of how much it really is lol he'd go nutes! my mom doesnt even know how much! well she knows the price of the puppy and supplies, but neither know about the deposit for my house. but i feel like its my money, my decision and they dont have a right to know unless they were helping. haha well thats what my dad told me about his parents and his college. he said his parents never asked him about his grades in school, but if they had he wouldnt tell them becasue he was payingfor his school by himself. haha ive learned from the best lol
when time come though i will probably end up telling him, what can he do about it? take my dog away? ground me? send me to my room? lol im a big girl dammit! or dangit, in case that workd is a "pottymouth" word lol |

yea kristen! i'm so excited for you!
i'm definately planning on using a play pen and put all of her stuff in there (the floor lined with newspaper of course ) and that'll be "her" area... i think that once she's comfortable with that area then you can introduce her to the rest of the house and just keep and eye on her... i'd think that starting out you'd just need one litter box because she should probably only be out of the pen supervised (so you can scoop her up and take her to the box if she gets any ideas) i don't think you should worry about another one until she's already trained enough to where you can trust her in the rest of the house unsupervised... then i guess it's up to you if you need another or not... jmo of course don't forget to post lots of pictures when you get her!!! |

haha im so happy for you kristen! thats so exciting! um, i though about getting a pen, but if i got it, it would be something so she could like have a place to hang out any play where i can see her while i am watching tv or doing homework or cooking dinner or something, so she doesnt havr to be cooped up in her crate. but i think id have her in her crate without the pen, at night and when im at classes, but still have it for when im home and just busy.
thats how i am thinking about doing it.
haha my roommates arent goingto be happy either.
well personally as far as showing the puppy the house, i plan on sorta letting her explore and just follow her, and let her get used to the place on her own but with me still there to suppost her. maybe wait a few days for us to bod some, and then let her explore more. i dont know how other people do it, but it sounds like a good way to do it. if you find information on a better way to go about doing it, let me know! |

One litterbox should be just fine since I'm going to be over paranoid about her pottying anyways, it won't be a problem to just scoop her right up How much do your puppies cost, if you guys don't mind me asking? Olive is $400, which I think is pretty reasonable compared to the ridiculous prices of other toy breeds! She'll be healthier AND cheaper then most of them I am sure! And don't worry, pictures will be posted often! haha. If I were you, I would just call the breeder, it sounds scary, but I bet it would make you soo much happier afterwards to have a conversation with her and know exactly what's going on. Plus, it would give you a chance to get to know her and see if she sounds like the type of breeder you want a puppy from! I mean if she isn't friendly on the phone, then she probably isn't friendly with her pups, right?! JMO though |

| ok i know, its like why dont we just start a chatroom lol well the puppies from the breeder im using, and ashley is trying to get ahold of, are $500, but she said she let her last litter go for 4 becasue of the economy or something, so im hoping that this litter might be $400 as well, lol then i could spend an extra 100 on tows for her lol |
