haha im glad she likes her bully stick, i plan on using them too for my pup, im just not going to tell her what they are made of. i cant wait to go into pet co with my new pup! do you know if you can still go before vaccinations and just hold them? or is it too dangerous or something? haha yay now that it is summer, i can read the puppy books i got!!!

Hey I did make a list.. I don't have it handy, and it wasn't all that fancy, but I'll try to remember the important stuff that has been essential these first few days..
- Play pen (SO nice to have a place to put her when I can't watch her for a bit, but don't want to crate her) it has her food, water, crate, litter box, and toys in it
- Crate (a small one that she feels secure in)
-Pad for inside the crate
-Blankets (She is already showing her true rattie self and burrows under my covers. I have a blanket in the crate she can curl up under, they are so small and their fur is so thin, she seems to get cold so easy)
- food/ water dish ( I don't leave the water dish in the playpen all the time, because she likes to knock it over when she's jumping around haha)
- Litterbox ( best thing EVER! 2 whole days of NO ACCIDENTS!!!)
-Litter
- Pooper scooper
-Air freshener (So I can spray after she poops.. I clean it up right away, but still..  haha..)
- Bully stick
-Balls (she's already playing fetch!)
-Toys that you can stuff food into
-Rope toy
-Newspaper (just to cover the bottom of the playpen)
-good quality food
-Collar (she keeps scratching at it.. but she's starting to get used to it)
-Leash (although when I take her in my backyard, she just sits on my feet.. not a fan of the seattle weather)
-Poop bags that attach to leash
-Sweater (she shakes a lot, her sweater seems to help.)
-Spray to clean up pee/poop (haven't had to use it yet! Besides when she puked on the way home..)
-Bitter apple (she's been really good about biting the fingers, but I know she's going to start chewing on EVERYTHING soon enough..)
-treats! (I've just been using dog food so far for treats, she kinda knows sit! haha)
-nail clippers (if you're going to clip them yourself.. I haven't decided yet.. sounds scary)
-dog shampoo
-vitamins (haven't gotten those yet.. but I probably will eventually)
-puppy pads (just in case?)
-harness (I still need to get her fitted for one. I want a PUPPIA one, but I think I'll wait to splurge until she's full grown)
I'm sure there's more that I missed, but it's late and I can't think straight! What am I doing on here, I have a final in the morning I should be studying for?!!?!!

| oh and I don't know about taking them to PetCo, I think it'd be alright as long as you didn't put them on the ground. But what if they have to go potty?? I think I'll probably just wait till she gets her next set of shots.. just to be on the safe side. |

that looks like a good list, what kind of shampoo did you get? she's sooo adorable! haha i'm so jealous  does she go to the litter box on her own yet? you seem to be pretty lucky in the training/behavior department! can't wait to meet you gals! good luck on your final!

yeah good list, ive got most of that on mine, except for the litter box stuff, and i think i wanna get a lil play pen so i can watch her and she can play while im doing homework or cooking or something so she oesnt have to be in her crate, but im not sure if that would affect her crate training so i havnt decided yet.
she is so cute, i am way jealous! i cant wait to meet all you guys, but even more i cant wait to get my puppy!

She will go pee in her litterbox by herself, but I can tell when she's going to go poop and if her litter box is in the playpen she won't go. I have to set it on the ground and set her in it. Then she'll run around in circles frantically and usually will crawl into the box right in time. Once or twice I've had to pick her up right as she's squatting haha, but she hasn't missed yet! The only training problem I have is leaving her alone. She is already sooo attached, and if I leave the room for even one minute, she starts SCREAMING! My roommates aren't appreciating it...  I had a final today and I had to leave her and I knew she was just going to scream and cry, but luckily one of my roomies was awake and willing to watch her. It's hard to find a good time to let her 'cry it out' because I don't want to disturb anyone! I am not technically supposed to have a dog in the house I'm living in right now.. The landlord hasn't even once come by, but it still scares me. I'm moving in a couple of months to a pet friendly apartment, but right now I am so scared to cause a disturbance! Luckily all the neighbors around me are my friends and already know about the pup, I just have to be careful..
I haven't bought shampoo yet, I couldn't decide.. but I know there are some good forums on here that say what the best stuff is. I can't believe how expensive it is, it's like 10 for the shampoo and then 10 for the conditioner! |

i'm not kristen lol silly goose! but i haven't heard back from her yet sad days... hopefully soon though...
yeah, i'm deffinately going to get a pen, i wouldn't think it'd make much difference in crate training (but i'm no expert lol to me it's just "modified" )
she'll pee but not poo on her own? lol that's silly
wow that is tricky with the crying since she's not supposed to be there. maybe you should ask some of the other people on here if there's another way without having her cry it out? i mean, i think it's unlikely, but you never know... i'd deffinately ask the others for ideas though... (sorry i'm not much help )
hmm... i should probably look around for that shampoo forum thanks... do you have a vet picked out? i know there's the ravenna animal hospital by burgermaster... but i haven't really been looking much so i dunno anything about them lol |

| I'm actually taking her to my vet in Tri Cities, where my family lives. I'm going home for a week after finals, so she's going to the vet on Monday! I still need to pick out a vet here eventually.. and in case of emergencies, but I haven't found a place yet. |

so i typed a really long message before i left to see the new adam sandler movie with my cousin, but after i tryed to send it the internet had gone out for some reason. i pulled a you ashley lol
i cant remember what all i said earlier but heres a try lol
yeah i really like the pen thing just like for my examples of cooking and homework, and it is a "modified way ASHLEy that i liked lol. cuz i mean i can still randomly put her in her crate and get her used to it also while im in class and at night (until shes potty trained ) lol
KRISTEN i just cant express how cute you and olive are together! i cant wait to meet all three of you gals! we should do it after olive gets s0ome of her vaccinations so we could have her there without worry, but weve got pleanty of time for that./ we need a girls day in seattle. coffee, pike place, maybe even a movie idk lol whatever we end up doing will be so much fun! but honestly i just cant wait for our puppy play dates!!! we should totally make it like a by weekly thing or like once a month or something when we can all find time. ugh so cool! but it hink for about ehh roughly 4 or 5 months, ASHLEY and i are going to just have to be jealous of you KRISTEN, and fond all over you cute little olive lol

yeah and sometimes the internet pisses me off! i got so angry that it wasnt working i stormed into the bonus room and unplugged the internet and the Wii and then plugged it back in then it worked so i cooled off lol
yeah me 2! i actually havnt bee many times except when i was younger, but its cool. oh i know i am very jealous, i just try to keep thinking that we are going to be in the same place as her but then i think oh yeah we will, in 4-5 months! grrr im impatient, i hope summer goes by quick and the money rolls in lol olive is a doll!
omg Ashley my interview was great.it went smoothly and they told me that during summer and christmas they are the busiest and need people and thats when im available. she seemed very optimistic, she even told me she liked me when she first met me hehe i cant wait i wanna hear back from them soon! i wanna start next week! i hope they call soon, bcuz my mom wants me to call my waitressing job if i cant stsrt right away. i dont mind taking a couple weeks off to relax though lol
i havnt heard from lynn lately, i was thinknig about shooting her an email and see how shes doing, but i think ima wait till next week to send it. what was the last one she sent you? was it the one where she said she was sick and would email you back when shes better? im sure she will be fine, atlease i hope so, ima try not to play the what if game, that always end up in tears, or a scraped elbow lol hehe
this weather is crappy! the weather back at school in sunny lol
i just love imagining getting my puppy! and all the cutsie playdates with the other pups hehe |

i know! but after those 4-5 months are over it'll be totally worth it! gosh! you're getting me so excited the butterflies in my tummy are waking up!  i'm so excited! i can't wait to see what colors her puppies are! i'm too impatient! i hope we hear from lynn soon! lol
CONGRATULATIONS! i'm sure you should get it then! where do you think you'll be working? register? maybe to start off with...

oh i know i am so excited too!!! i think the colors will be a mix between tan-sable, and the tuxedo. they will be cute either way, but i want one with brown! unless theres not a choice or whatever, color isnt a big deal to me. at first i really wanted a specific color, and then realized it doesnt matter lol. i hope to hear from her soon! i hope flame gets bred and everything, becasue im sorry but i cant wait more than 5 months lol im so impatient, im ready to be a rattie mommy
i hope i get it! that be so awesome! and yeah i want nicer weather, but with the weather like this it doesnt make a difference right now, becasue i have just been chilling on the couch lol

yeah, i'm not really picky about color either i think the black/brown tuxedos are my favorite, but i like all of the colors i'm just so impatient and it's like one more thing to get excited over! lol
ooo! i think it'd be awesome if her next letter said that she was preggo! haha it's already june! how long does it take to know after conception? do you know? aaaagh! i'm so excited!
and i think the weather should be getting warmer though! i don't really watch the news, but nate said it should lol |

I GOT THE JOB I GOT THE JOB I GOT THE JOB!!!!! this morning the tukwilla petco called me and wanted to interview me, and i told them that i just had an interview at the covington one, so they said ok and they were going to call the mand see what their plans were. well apparently they were like well were going to take her lol and then the lady called me from covington not too much later, and said she wanted me to come in to start filling out paper work!!! so i went in and did some on that, and i am going in tomorrow moring at 830 (ick) to start my training! i am so excited yay!!!!! hehe
oh i know at first i was like on i love the colors like flames, then i was ligh oh cute i like when they have tri colors, then i was all oh i think that shevauns tuxedo colors are just too cute. oh and if youve looked through all the pictures, shevauns has a sister who looked the exact same, but the tuxedo is mainly brown, too cute lol. but i could care less now, i am just excited to get one hehe. and now that i have a new job i am even more excited hehe yayayayay im all giddy lol plus i just woke up from a little nap which now i feel good lol.
weather better get better or ima pissed off lol |

hey guys...so last time i posten on here was on the 11th, and about 5 hours after my last post, some family friends came to my house, to let my family know that my older brother had passed away earlier that day in a car accident....... i havnt even gotten on the internet or even my computer really since. i turned it on once to print some pictures for my mom...i am having aa real difficult time right now, and even though my family has about a million friends and family here to help us, i am still dealing with this tragety and working through my grief. everyne is taking it hard. my mom is a reck becasue i mean it was her first born, her baby boy, and same with my dad, i would say that he is taking it the hardest of all. then there is my little brother and i am trying to be there for him becasue him and my older brother were the bet of friends and i think he is holding most of his emotions inside and i am trying to help him as well. i havnt really had time for me to deal with everything but i am working through it. i just wanted to tell everyone and inform them of what happened. i also wasnt able to start my training the other day, but i am going to go in sometime this week and start, and i am not sure what exactly i will be doing yet, but thank you, i am excited too.
i could really use that puppy right about now, to put a smile on my face and my family. i dont want to drag out my pain or cause a dark cloud over everyones head, i justwanted people to know what i was going through and just understand my emotions right now... anyway i will probably be on mroe becasue it takes my mind off of things, i am trying to keep doing the things i like so i am not just miserable laaying in bed all day. so i will talk to you guys later.
kristen, i hope olive and you are doing good, i could use an update...

My daughter put together a phoyo album, and my son's Justin and Jason, put together a slide show of Josh for the funeral, that played continuously on a laptop, at the front of the chapel. My daughter also did a eulogy. They were amazing, at a time I could barely get out of bed. |

| yeah my mom is creating a slide show, she is really good at that, and some family are putting together the eulogy and everyone is adding to it. it is really hard for me and for my little brother, and i am just trying to take care of him (hes 15) becasue they were best friends and he seems to bottle everything up. and all my parents friends and siblings are here or on a flight as we speak to come here, they are taking it the worst. i think my mom hides it well, becasue she has been keeping very busy, but my dad is a wreck right now...it hurts me so much to see my family like this |

One of the hardest things for my husband and me, was picking out a casket, flowers, funeral brochure, flowers, and where to put him. The clothes were easy because he loved camoflauge. My daughter did not want to put him in the ground, so we did a marble mausoleum. They are building a new one next to the one that he is in, and my husband has already started purchasing one on each side of him, when we go, so he will not be alone, since he did not get to grow up and have his own family. |

| my parents have been having a hard tim as well, my mom is staying strong but hurting, but whenever there s something to pick out or plan, my dad starts to cry, and that really hurts me to see him and the rest of my family like that. we have so many family and friends who are helping us with the arrangements and taking care of things for us. it still hard but having so many people around us it helps. |

my friends are coming up the 20-23/24 of july and my family MIGHT come up after that, but i dunno... nate's off of school now, and he's going to idaho for a week around the 4th of july (so i'll be home all alone  eek!) but maybe we can do something then? |

thanks girl, it is really hard right now. my whole fmily is grieving and just horrible right now. everytime it comes up or my dad has to talk about something relating to it, he starts to bawl, not cry, bawl. im 19 ad ive never seen him cry, hes this big fire fighter manly man, and has turned into a baby over this. and my mom has been trying to stay busy but she is still crying and hurting, and im trying to help my little brother becasue he seems to be holding most of his feelings inside. i cant stand seeing my family like this...my grandparents flew up from arizona and my cousins and aunt flew over from illinois. we are having people come stay with us. it is so hard i cat take it. i just want this to go away and not be happening i dont know what to do....i just feel so helpless. i went out with my cousin and went around town and shopping a bit and petco, and just getting out really helped me focus on something else. i cant wait to start work, i cant stand being at home and watching my family suffer. im so lost right now, i cant even explain. sorry my head just isnt on straight right now. my best friends actually flew up from portland on thursday to be with me, and went back on sunday, and is flying up again on wednesday for the memorial service. im just glad i have so many firends and family here for me...
im glad you get to see your friends soon, and hopefully your family. when they visit, just give them a big hug for me and just let them know how much they mean to you, ok?
my cousins that came in from illinois apparently have a rat terrier and this is the 3rd one they have. news to me, but ive never been there to visit, but i just thought it was kinda cool, i forgot there are more over in the east lol |
