Vinnie wears his collar all the time EXCEPT for when he is crated. We are always there with him when he has it on. I read way back when we got Vinnie that the reason you take the collor off is that they can get the collar tangled on the crate itself and choke. I never thought about this happenening. Whole family knows the first rule when crating Vinnie is to remove the collar. He then goes nuts knowing his kong ball is on the way. I'm soooo glad Shadow is better today.

Glad Shadow is improving.  Puppies have a way of bouncing back from some pretty incredible traumas. My vet told me it's Tylenol and Tylenol-related drugs like acetomenophen that are extremely toxic to dogs. Aspirin is the safe thing to give them. They had me give 1/2 adult BUFFERED aspirin to a dachshund with chronic back problems daily for a a week and then only as needed.
