Human presently located in middle Tennessee, needing to be rescued from spastic rat terrier who has been confined to his crate for two weeks.

This human is in good health... has had all her vaccinations... is heartworm negative... doesn't eat much... is a hard worker and very obedient.... very well trained.... has been spayed.

Seeking a new, loving home... anywhere where she can find some peace and quiet.

 (will sleep in large crate...)

Does she have transport available - if so, I might be interested, however, she'd be joining a household with its own occasional spastic rattie, plus a large dog, two cats, two kids.... LOL!!!

Yes... in fact she has BRAND NEW transportation available (as of last week!)...

I suppose she can't be too picky, but she really was hoping to find a home with some dogs more her own size.  (do they make them that big?)  Not sure she can handle one more spastic rat terrier right now....

I'm gonna go hide in my bedroom for awhile and put my head under my pillow, shut the door, turn on the ceiling fan... and TRY to get away from the yelping. It continues regardless of where I put him.

Where's a good trainer when ya need one, eh? a;dflkjadf;lkajsdf;lakjsfd

I never heard of redding up a space... that's a funny yankee saying! haha
Deb... if it's as hot as it is here (101 degrees today... 105 tomorrow)... I'm not sure I'd be comfortable there. Ya know how us old women are... can't handle the heat!

Sorry to hear Bailey is not adjusting well to his forced confinement. Poor guy just doesn't understand he has to get better Hope he starts calming down soon.

Ernie says you can come to Minnesota, I agree, he said as long as you scratch his belly. I have an extra room, we'll have to "red up" because he also has a bed on top of the spare bed. He agrees to move it for ya...

I just saw this. You are too much! It's nice and cool here in Ca (low 70's today), plus I live in the middle of the wine county, if you like that sort of thing. Don't know how peacful it would be for you. 2 ratties, an old dobie mix, and a hyper female dobie.

Why is Bailey being crated all the time? I think I may have missed something.

furbabies: Lucy and Molly (1 1/2 yr old decker ratties), and Rosie (3 yr old dobie)
Buddy - gone but never forgotten.

Nora, you can come down here - only 3 spastic small dogs and 1 medium spastic dog.  We could do one of those reality TV shows like The Nanny only it would be The Dog Trainer - you could come in and "fix" all our dogs!  (Do you do cats, too? )

NO !! I don't "do" cats... and right now I'm not doing so well with my own dog! LOL
For those of you who asked... Bailey is on crate rest for two weeks (from last Thursday) because he has pulled a muscle in his right rear thigh area. He's on anti-inflammatory meds... and he is NOT a happy camper. This dog, who is SO totally crate trained and well behaved (even if I DO say so myself...).... is driving me freakin' nuts! You'd think he never saw a crate before and regardless of where I put it, he screams bloody murder. I'm truly surprised he hasn't lost his voice.

He goes tonight for another massage... he enjoys those. But who wouldn't? Dog massages cost more than human massages -- $45 for half hour! (I need to go to school to learn how to do this!)

Anyways... I'm still looking for a home this morning after about 3 hours of sleep last night. I want to go somewhere where it's quiet... and no dogs...

Duh.... WHY am I posting this request on this forum? geez... I must be brain dead !!

It's supposed to be 80 degrees and NO HUMIDITY tomorrow. Best day of the summer so far (according to the weather people). Vinnie doesn't make much noise Nora (we can dress him up so that he looks like something besides a dog) ... you'll never even know he's here ... C'mon down!!!!!

Nora! I musta missed the post about Bailey and his injury. Sorry to hear this. He's probably bored and in some discomfort. Can't believe they do massages at $45 a half hour! I need to learn this too! Hope the little guy is back to his old self soon!!!

He is confused, Shannon... and truly I do understand that. But I'm not sure my patience is gonna last until mid next week. I'm praying at some point before then... he'll settle down. During the day he's fine because he's used to being crated during the day anyways. But he's not used to being crated when we're home and with all the other dogs running loose. He probably thinks we're being cruel. He has eaten enough bully sticks to choke a horse and that's the ONLY way he'll stay quiet for any length of time.
DoDo -- hubby is taking a two-week trip this fall to the east coast. I'm once again not going because I'm booked with 5 dog trials this fall. (and it's what I prefer to do).
sounds like you're having the best weather! Can I just ship Bailey to you?

Yep, the booger has been spending a lot more time in his crate since the "incident"!
