Diamond Pet Foods does NOT use any gluten sources, wheat or rice, in their products.  I believe they make the Kirkland Signature Brand from Costco that sells Chicken/Rice and Lamb/Rice for about $16 for a 40# bag.  I am waiting for confirmation back from a company representative.  Here is their link.

Also, Canidae is NOT effected either.

For updated information on the recall go to the American Veterinary Medical Association at

I still can't believe all of the foods being recalled.  Just as a heads up - Purina Dog Chow isn't included either.  I know a lot of you guys feed the higher end foods but my Vet has always said the Purina was fine and haven't had to worry about the recall either.

Apollo has been eating the Canidae and he's doing fine with it. I still have to let his food soak for about five minutes though before he'll even attempt to eat it!
