haha...ok so im finally posting my first POOP topic! woohoooo
So, in the evenings I always take Trixi for her "long walk" about 45 minutes...usually a little bit into the walk she poops...dark brown, solid poop....
about 10 minutes later she poops again...this time like a long skinny yellow worm...lol....much softer and yellow....
what the heck is up with this??? anyone have the same issue?
PS...sorry i dont know what the heck happened to the subject and it wont let me fix it |

Molly doesn't, but Josie kinda does. She hates her harness, so when I try to get it on her, it totally stresses her out. I think she relieves her stress by pooping and it's always yellowish-green. Then she's fine. Whatever. I wish I could get over stress that way! |

| I wonder if it's just because it's fresh. I know it sounds gross, but the first poop had time to sit there and grow old, while the second one is fresh and she just has the chance to get it out. I don't know, just a theory. Maybe someone will have a real answer. |

I'm sorry - I don't have an answer to the "poop" question! But I do know why the subject line is the way it is (was) - when you put an emoticon like : ) or : ( without the spaces it tries to place an image but can't, and so looks the way yours did. I went in and edited your subject line. Once a few more replies come through, it'll be just fine |

she never eats poop....she will try and sniff it and i pull her away....be REALLY careful Parvo is contracted through poop and it is deadly...not to scare you...obviously youre being careful already...and im not saying youre a bad pet owner..but Trixi got parvo and its really expensive to treat...so...just its close to my heart thats all! |

| Hehehe yea i know parvo is nasty i had a play date with a american bulldog a month ago that died this weekend from parvo, i spoke to my vet about the poop eating and the parvo infected dog, its been over 10 days now so the vet said Toby was fine plus the vaccines helped protect him. I was worried for a mo tho but hes fine. Apparently where i live atm dpgs have been dropping like flies because of parvo i am worried but alas all i can do is keep my eye on him and protect him best i can |

Mine always has one nice solid one then at the very end squeezes out the yellowish runny one, I worried about that, too! He eats other dogs poop, hasn't for awhile because I try to keep him really close on walks but do allow him some freedom on his flex-leash. The last time I saw him eating something I ran over shouting "No! Leave it!" and he goes *gulp* Too late! |

| Colleen is right, the second batch hasn't completed the digestive process. One of the things the large intestine does is absorb moisture out of the solid waste. The second batch hasn't spent as long in the intestine as the first one, so there is more moisture, which causes the different texture and color. Probably just the excitement of being outside speeds up her system, she will probably outgrow it. |
