Ok, this is gross but i have to ask!

Frankie loves to sit on my lap and i've noticed that his anal glands leak on my pants sometimes and I read on the internet how to empty them but i don't think it works.  He tries to clean himself off and i end up wiping his rear with a wet paper towel until i can get him in the tub. Does anyone have any advice on dealing with his stinky butt or how to help this problem?

Thanks

Stephanie

I've heard of people taking them to the vets or groomers to get them all cleaned out. Lucy doesn't have this problem, but that is what I would most likely do.

OUr cockapoo had that problem, we let the groomer clean his glands when he was groomed.

Take him to the vet or groomer to have it done.

The groomer would probably be cheaper.  You could try adding canned pumpkin, or feed some vegetables for added fiber, in hopes that they would express themselves.  This is assuming that he's not in pain or discomfort.  Then, of course, he would need to see the vet.
