Chinese rice protein concentrate (not rice) imported by an American company and sold to FIVE pet food makers, but most went to two firms.  Sheesh.

Ok, that's not in the Duck/Potato Natural Balance I got, so unless we buy potatos from china my guys are safe there....I did notice the Nutro Lamb/Rice has rice gluten in it. Any clue how we would find out where Nutro gets that from?

It's almost possible to figure out what's safe....the Natural Balance is a very good food. Yet it turns out they have Diamond pack some of their food. If I find out the dang potatoes aren't from China I'm just going to feed that until all the dust settles!

I just changed to Natural Balance, but luckily it wasn't the venison! Tell you what, though, I've learned -- I'm going to start saving my dog food bags. I usually empty the food in a container and toss the bag. No more! I'm keeping the bag from now on!
