She woke up with spots all over her tummy....turns out she was bitten by fire ants. She must have sat on a nest or something... my poor little Mayfly. She's such a good girl for the vet, though. We just have to put neosporin on the spots and give her Benedryl. |

Oh MB, don't you just hate those buggers? Poor Mitzy, give her loving from her auntie Cheryl and Aka and Taffy. Aka sends heartfelt sympathies as he is still shedding the scabs from the last of his bites.

| She's feeling much better today. She was my buddy on the transport (I had to drive Sorley up to Savannah) this morning. She even got 2 bites of apple pie at McDonalds on our way home. |

| Mayfly says she feels lots better! Yesterday when I was about to leave with Sorley (I had decided not to take any other dogs with me as if I had to stop on the way home it was too hot to leave them in the car) Mayfly ran to the door and stood on her hindlegs and really, really wanted to go with me. So....I took her and made sure I didn't have to stop while it was too hot for her. She snuggled with Sorley, napped, watched out the window and we had just good one-on-one quality time. (It's usually her and Mitzy doing everything together!) |

OUCH! (just saw this). I've heard that fire ants can be very painful when they bite. Poor Mayfly :=(
