I get Bailey the six inch ones, she loves them and they usually last a week or maybe two, when they get down to about a inch or when she can get the whole piece in her mouth, I toss them...don't want her to choke.

I found some 5 inch ones at Wal-Mart that I give to Marley.  When they get about 1 inch long I swap and give him a biscuit.  I have to throw the biscuit across the the room to give me time to snatch up the bully stick remains before he sees what I'm doing. LOL

I had never heard of them before this site, and so I looked them up and I don't know if I'll ever give them to Sophie because of what they're made of, it's a little yicky. Maybe silly of me, but... I mean, they're healthy and all, just.. yicky...

My girls LOVE bully sticks. We discovered them from this site as well. You are so right, they are kind of pricey.... I recently found a big bag of them like 15 bully sticks for $14 at COSTCO..... Not sure if they have them at all their locations or not, but it is definitely cheaper than at Petsmart. Takes my girls about a week to gnaw through them.....but I get rid of them when they get them whittled down to a couple inches.....I worry they will choke on them.....

Bully sticks are great and you're right - they can't bite a chunk off them to choke on.  I do take them away when they get small enough to be a choking hazard though.  It takes mine a couple of hours to chew up the 6" ones.  And they are completely natural beef tendon/muscle (yes...bull penis) so they won't cause an obstruction in the intestines like rawhide can do.

www.petcenterdirect.com  - I can get 30 6" bully sticks here for under $20 plus another $11 in Fedex charges.  They come in a box with only a rubber band around them....then I store them uncovered in a cupboard....if they are kept in plastic or wrap of any sort they could mold.  Obviously I buy a lot at one time because I usually have 6 dogs here....they'll sell in quantity though!

Bully sticks are the bomb!!!  Yep, icky, but my babies love them!!!  I, too, learned about them from this site!!!  My husband plays in a band, so on some week-ends he might not get home til 4 or 5 in the morning.  I give the girls a bully stick in the morning so he can sleep in, they are occupied for HOURS, ya don't hear a peep out of them

My dogs LUV bully sticks. I get the Nature's Variety brand because they have no odor and are just the right size for my small dogs. They're great for helping to keep the teeth clean too!

Mine just love bully sticks. It's funny to watch the new pup. I will give both Louie and Daisy one each. They will go to their respective places and chew awhile, then Louie sees how good Daisy's is and he gets up and sneaks up on her and then lunges at her, she drops her stick, he picks it up and then starts chewing on it. Daisy just goes over to his and starts chewing on it. It's so funny to watch them swap sticks! Sometimes Daisy doesn't want to give hers up so they both end up chewing on it at the same time. Always a couple on the floor around here!!

don't worry if domino isn't a huge fan just yet, give him some time- he'll come around!!!

My girls LOVE them!!  Bonnie wasn't sure what to make of them the first couple times she got one either, but she scarfs them down almost as quickly as Chloe does now.  They each get a 4" (inch) piece about 2-3 times a week.  They're okay with eating the whole thing- jsut keep an eye on them, expecially with the last little chunk. Had one of mine gag one night,  so I was glad I was right there to help dislodge it if needed.

All the Palm Bay pack love them too. I must look pretty strange sniffy the product at the store though, good thing one other than Janie has witnessed this act. We're not quite so organized to order online, it is more of a last minute thought when getting food. I love to see how much they are enjoyed, but then, if they are stinky, we have bully stick breath to deal with later. Kiss me?
