Living in the Swampy Southeast, there are all sorts of things that bite flying around. Being an aggressive hunter, Holly is always trying to get into the bushes and undergrowth where many of these insects live. It's the first place she wants to go when she is outside!
Holly seems to be more susceptible to these creatures than any other dog I know. I guess it's where she has such a thin coat and her skin seems to be very delicate, with even a no-see-um bite leaving a small bump.
Has anyone else's baby had this problem?
She also will chew on crabgrass, generally 5-6 leaves. I believe that this is generally dietary, but she's on Blue Buffalo Small Breed (with a bit of chicken broth) which was her diet while she was with her foster mom and aside from the grass eating, she has no other problems with it.
